Yearly Budget : What is your current yearly budget for the initiative?
1. Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that led the founder(s) to get started or the story of how you saw the potential for this project to succeed.
This is an important question for me personally and could be multiple reasons for this answer but I would like to share two important personal reasons that make me passionate about this problem. First, I am the grandson and son of a farmer father who turns an employee in a private organisation after he quit farming, So I am the part of the population I am working now with sensegrass and I believe I have
seen this problem most closely than anyone else and If you know the problem very well that will help you to make a good leader solve that problem and same happened with me.
2. The problem: What problem are you helping to solve?
Agriculture is one of the largest industry and more than 68% of global population somehow involved in agriculture, but despite all of this, this is one of the traditional industry due to lack of technology, untrained farmers and climate change effect on agriculture. As per UN reports by 2040 world resources won't be able to feed the 1/3 of global population due to crop loss and low crop yield. We are on a mission to provide farmers more sustainable farming option which is easy to implement.
3. Your solution: How are you working to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.
We are developing the world’s first IoT + AI interface technology for the farmers. We are world’s first Solar powered wireless NPK soil sensors with Proprietary Technology (patent pending) using optical transmission that detect, measure and analyze NPK, soil nutrients in real time and AI prediction software, implemented with the NanoSatellite Image mapping. Our 360 degree solution is best fit for big corporate farms, to small to mid farms that comprise of 72% of global farms with any kind of crops. We are making agriculture more precise through nanosatellite field images for big farms with accurate precision farming through smart ground sensors for small farms. Also, our in-house Smart soil sensing coverage and gives accurate data surveillance under and above the soil. We are implementing Machine learning algorithm, to eliminate no human involved complete artificial intelligence analyzing of data to give precise solutions for better cropping
4. Innovation: How are you innovating or using unique approaches to solve the problem?
We are developing the worlds first IoT + AI interface technology for the farmers for NPK Detection with Soil efficiency improvement. Our Technology and Product design efficiency make us competitive and the first mover in the market gives us a competitive advantage with real-time NPK monitoring. Our Patented Technology comes with Fourth Generation Infrared optical transmission which gives real-time precision results for NPK and other parameters. Our IoT device comes with Special Firmware to monitor 18+ Parameters which make our product most innovative hardware in the industry. We are the only company to measure these 18+ Parameters in real-time from the micro soil data without any need of sending soil samples to a lab.
5. Collaboration: How does your initiative seek to bring key players together to preserve biodiversity?
This is highly important for us in Sensegrass. Our values and ethos is to create a sustainable 360* solution to all the stakeholders in this biodiversity, Our solution is an attempt to bring the Human to environmental to Animals and birds as well because the problem we solving effect everyone, From Land and soil to Small insects and pests like butterfly and our intention is to bring in a circle to save this biodiversity. Our solution is to help Farmers and growers who feeding us by preserving the natural resources like land, Soil, Water and Oxygen and save our plants and crops by helping them to improve the efficiency and impact the other stakeholders those who affected and serving this to rest of community from policymakers to Governments these are the one to make decisions for all of us. While We talk about human our biodiversity have an important element these are birds, Insects affected by climate change risk and to preserve our ecosystem these are important elements as well .
6. Impact: how has your project made a difference so far — in terms of both business outputs and social impact? How do you plan on measuring progress?
We did three pilots thanks to our partners and accelerators, One in Nebraska, US, South Italy, Europe, Punjab, India and we have more than 105 plus customers (B2B) with double of booking and Potential PArtnerships like Bayer and FIA etc. we are research-based company with our R&D team as founders so we keep improving and developing the new variants. Our Current ARR is 21500 USD and 2700 USD MRR with 0% Churn Rate and 42% Growth and Some Soft Commitment with Investors.
Substitutes- Only Conventional Substitute in the Whole market is Soil Lab Testing- The only conventional method is traditional soil lab testing method, where a sample of soil from a random area by farmer go to labs and using chemical method they do test, which take a week or two, costly, inaccurate, mixing of samples and outdated technique.

7. Growth strategies: what are your main strategies for scaling your impact?
We following two strategies to acquire customers and expand rapidly- Direct Approach through our ground team and Local channel partners in different countries like Metropolitan Agriculture boards and Other agtech companies. Second, which is our core strategy being a B2B2G company. Working with governments and Public Institutions like FIA, SAG (Current Partners) and strategic partners like Bayer, Bosch, IBM, Pepsico, Danone, Rabobank etc to selling and expanding through them. They help us to expand on a very large scale with a huge number of Farmers (Our Users), These companies and governments are our core clients and paying customers and need our product, Apart from these other Agtech startups are also our useful potential partners.
8. Creating shared value: How does your initiative create value for society? Or different stakeholders?
We are working on a very crucial but a huge problem especially in this diverse world, Soil Diagnosis and Crop security but not limited to this, Our solution is 360* product for Precision Agriculture from Soil Intelligence and genetics to Crop yield improvement and Farm management. Our Company Mission is to create a sustainable food system that helps Farmers growing food and feeding us, to Retialires and corporates to Individual users those impacted directly with the food system. Apart from thhuman ecosystem we also impacting and creating value to Biodiversity which is our primary goal to preserve the land, Soil, Environmental, Water system through the solution by using right water, pest etc.
9. Financial sustainability plan: can you tell us about your plan to fund your project and how that plan will be sustainable in the short, medium, and long term?
We have raised 450 K USD from grants and VC and raising our Pre Series A round in the next six to 8 months to expand our solution. We are a revenue-generating solution that helps us to use for operations.
10. Team: what is the current composition of your current team (types of roles, qualifications, full-time vs. part-time, board members, etc.), and how do you plan to evolve the team’s composition as the project grows?
Lalit Gautam- Pharmaceutical science worked with Plant biology research and MBA in entrepreneurship with over 8years experience and an exit and came from farming family
Poala (Chilean)- Agro Engineer & Masters in Soil Precision, more than 10 years of Agri experience and agriculture background.
Abhishek Khandal(India/Chile)- Graduate in Computer science and IoT, Renewal energy and more than five years exp.
