Problem: What problem is this initiative trying to address?

The lack of water is one of the major challenges facing agriculture in Morocco. In fact, many farmers in sandy or semi-arid regions can not manage their land because of lack of water or the nature of the soil that does not hold water. Add to this that the raw material of our product is the organic waste that is not sorted in Morocco and constitute an environmental challenge

Solution Summary: What is the proposed solution? What do you see as its most promising aspects for creating shared value?

To solve these two problems: Waste and lack of water among farmers, we thought to recycle organic waste to produce a substance with amorphous structure that gives it a high water retention capacity (more than 260% according to scientific analyzes).

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Specify both the social and the environmental impact of your work

So far, we have recycled more than 300kg of waste, created two jobs and helped a farmer optimize production and save water.

Financial sustainability plan: How is this initiative financially supported? How will you ensure its financial sustainability long-term?

Grants
Earned income
Competition

Unique value proposition: What makes your initiative innovative? How does your project differ from other organizations working in the same field?

what makes our project unique is the fact that our product is organic and does not contain chemicals that can harm plants, it is cheaper than competitors and requires a very small amount (0.5kg per m ^ 2). In addition, there is no similar product in Morocco, in addition to its capacity for water retention, it is a very strong fertilizer because it is rich in nutrients.

Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that sparked the beginning of this initiative.

I am from Larache, this city is known for its sandy soil characterized by a low capacity of water retention. Thus, many farmers suffer, including my aunt. So I thought about helping them while respecting the environment. And here I have produced GreenCarbon.
However, this problem does not exist only in my city but in more than 70% of the regions in Morocco.

You need to develop the project further on a sound business model. As a start-up, you will need to build a strong business and financial sustainability plan to enable you scale through. The success of the project will be of great assistance to your farmers. Good luck.
