Problem: What problem is this initiative trying to address?

Indonesian healthcare system is on alert. Recognized as one of the most populated country in the world, Indonesia has encountered endless health system problems for more than a decade, such as the low income Indonesian society, the low of national health care expenditure, the difficulty to get health services, and a wider range of health problems.

Solution Summary: What is the proposed solution? What do you see as its most promising aspects for creating shared value?

Homedika is a platform which allows patients to be treated at home with qualified and well experienced health professionals, to make them feel the benefit from the most comfortable, accurate and suitable services. This program aims to make a meaningful impact on the Indonesian society by extending the medical assistance from health facilities to home.
With Homedika.com, it enables health workers to be sent directly to the patient‘s houses, and that combines many kind of health services. Several services provided by Homedika.com includes : (1) In-home healthcare services including medical prescriptions at home; (2) One free service for a person under privilege per 20 health services (owner of the « Surat Keterangan Miskin » certificate provided by the Indonesian Government); (3). Access to only qualified and registered health workers (medical doctors, nurses, midwives, etc.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Specify both the social and the environmental impact of your work

1. Health with lowest cost or budget. No fees related to the management of hospital or clinics. So, we can offer price in lower side. Our revenue model consisting of enhancing social capital providing healthcare system caring for poor people.
2. Accessible healthcare services. All sick people can have access to Homedika services, regardless of financial resources and mean of transportation. Homedika pursuing the volunterism on the community having significant impact for organizing humanity between people. The volunteers of Homedika is accounted about 215 volunteers over the targeted regions.
3. Significant economic impacts. (1) Enhancing the productivity and beneficiaries of health professionals. (2) Helping the health professionals earn substantial income independently.

Grants and earned income having main role to encourage our vission and mission; morover, the grants and earned income can also establish upgraded tools providing suitable service for targeted users and customers.

The value proposition is making indonesian healthcare integrative, connective, and collaborative.

Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that sparked the beginning of this initiative.

There is a story touched hearted about Muna (55 years) having 4 children; however, 3 of them have passed away caused by lack of funds for medicine. Her father is blind and her mother having reduced memory; in addition, her hushband also has death years ago. This circumstance giving Muna in the deep depression and feeling trapped in the tragic life; furthermore, she feels alone such as nobody can help her problem.
The story of Muna depicts situation how the economic and health problem can be the big reason to determine people’s well-being. Based on the emotional narrative of Muna, we try to solve the problem by providing healthcare platform having accessible and feasible aspect for the majority of inhabitants in Indonesia.
