Problem: What problem is this initiative trying to address?

Water is wasted from the time a tap is turned on until your hands are under the flow.
Brass Taps are expensive.

TOUCH TAP is made from recycled plastic and it is opened by touching the base of the tap. It is a low cost tap that saves water.

It is fitted onto water containers or main line plumbing.
Many africans collect water in buckets and it is a problem to dispense the water. Touch tap makes using water efficient.

The advanced technology of this is available, may not be cost effective and needs energy. However, few observations:
1. How it stops (time duration is specified/ touch it again)
2. touching may not be a good idea, as wash is needed when hands are not clean
3. Limited use

Having said so, we can overcome these issues, like instead of touching by hand, it could be foot, etc.
