Problem: What problem is this initiative trying to address?

1. City beautification and greening of Ghanaian communities and cities through partnership with private and government
2. Create awareness on the importance of trees in communities
3. Enhance the road landscape in communities
4. improve environmental quality such as effects of climate change and air quality, and water

Solution Summary: What is the proposed solution? What do you see as its most promising aspects for creating shared value?

In recent times, businesses are trying hard to earn public trust and confidence in the area of environmental protection. This is primarily because some stakeholders see business being one causal agents of climate change, deforestation, and unplanned city landscapes etc.
Indeed promoting initiatives such as tree planting and etc. help encourage networking, and sustainable development and in the longrun, transform competitive landscape of businesses
CorporateGreen tree planting project at Pokuasi-Festus in Ga East of Greater Accra Region has helped improve the quality of life of the community, dust as a result of the untarred road, particulate matters in the atmosphere have been minimized therefore the quality of air is improving for better welbeing of the community. Some of the community members have applauded the company tree planting initiative. This endorsement goes a long way to enforce our future projects in communities and public parks

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Specify both the social and the environmental impact of your work

Social impacts: This our initiative has spurred a sense of community ownership and benefit. This initiative not only redefine the community’s landscape but to bring consciousness the essence of trees to people in the community
Also, this project has helped in beautifying the community's landscape and ignited some sense of pride to the people
Environmental Impact:
Reports we have received so far are that these trees are mitigating air pollution on that road stretch especially the fact that that particular road is untarred providing positive impact on human health to the community
Often time people are seen sitting under the trees as shade during sunny times
This project is believe to help is reducing the amount of particulate substances through Co2 emissions through vehicular movements and etc in the area.

Financial sustainability plan: How is this initiative financially supported? How will you ensure its financial sustainability long-term?

This project at Pokuasi-Festus is our first tree planting project, therefore it was solely financed by me and individual partners who believed in my course.
also, the idea was to test the acceptability and viability of the business concept in communities using that area as a pilot base

Unique value proposition: What makes your initiative innovative? How does your project differ from other organizations working in the same field?

CorporateGreen plant trees along major roads and locations of interest to our partners. The company activities go beyond planting trees as some do. Uniquely, we manage trees after planting till their maturity stage.
CorporateGreen understand that trees are life support resources which must be tendered tenderly to maturity.

Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that sparked the beginning of this initiative.

My early life years began at the village, Shia under the Talensi District in the Upper East Region of Ghana. I found my true interest in the sector when I had the opportunity in the year 2007 to further my tertiary education at the Central University [CU], Accra to offer BSc. Environment and Development Studies. At CU, we had departmental field trips to several places including communities, cities, mining companies like Goldfield Gh. Ltd, Tarkwa and Nsuta Manganese Mining to have practical exposure of their operational impacts on forest cover and the natural environment at large. These embarkings helped me to identify an opportunity in trees planting in cities and communities that could help reduce the effects of desertification we face in our communities.
In my final year at CU, we were given options to major courses and for me as one, forest management was one of my selection.........
