Mainly for use by communities who use non-purified water from rivers, dams, boreholes and harvested rain water. It provides clean water in homes /schools/ crèches / clinics for drinking, cooking and hand-washing. Also for use for disaster relief when clean water services have been disrupted. UNICEF: 663 million families do not have access to improved water sources & 800 children under 5 years, die from water & sanitation-related issues dailySolution Summary: What is the proposed solution? Cleans water to make it safe for drinking and preparing food Provides families with clean and safe water daily Removes germs, bacteria, protozoa or cysts Exceeds EPA standards with removal rate of 99.9999% of bacteria which cause Cholera, Botulism, Typhoid, Amoebic Dysentery (E coli, Coliform Bacteria, Streptococcus, Salmonella). Also removes Protozoa, Giardia, Cryptosporidium, Cycospora SABS SANS 241: 2011 (Edition 1) compliant Easy to use with use any plastic bucket or plastic bottle No use of chemicals Fast water flow: supplies 1 litre every 2 minutes Easy maintenance, no parts to be replaced Lasts for 10 yearsImpact: What is the impact of the work to date?
