Problem: What problem is this initiative trying to address?
NIGERIA is one of the countries that account for half of all child deaths worldwide with one million children under-five dying every year and malnutrition contributes to nearly half of these deaths.A document jointly developed by the (UNICEF) and (FMOH) titled“Malnutrition: Nigeria’s Silent Crisis,”noted:“Malnutrition is called a silent crisis because it can be happening around us and we do not always know it is there.
Solution Summary: What is the proposed solution? What do you see as its most promising aspects for creating shared value?
Although we have seen photos of malnourished children who look sick & thin,they only represent a small portion of children who are suffering from malnutrition,there are children who do not look that way & yet they are malnourished because they are not getting the nutrients they need to grow & develop to their full potentials,it is agreed that preventing malnutrition among young children is the cost effective intervention to stimulate economic growth.DE REHOBOTHS is driving a real change in how undernutrition is treated while also pioneering a completely new customer focused business model to prevent chronic malnutrition.we do this by formulating & distribution of(1) plant based(organic)nutrient rich food immediately after 6months of life(exclusive breastfeeding),(2)for young children& mothers based on their(individual)blood type to ensure access to essential vitamins,minerals &nutrients
Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Specify both the social and the environmental impact of your work
Prior to the advent of ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF),the management of acute malnutrition was limited to hospitals,resulting in low coverage rates with high mortality,as malnourished cases were indentified at later stages often plagued with complications. However,current availability of RUTF has enabled malnourished children to be treated at communities.Further,because RUTF is dehydrated &sealed,it has the added advantage of a lower risk of bacterial contamination,thereby prolonging its storage life at room temperature.Recent data indicate that Community Management of Acute Malnutrition (CMAM) is as cost effective as other high-impact public health measures such as oral rehydration therapy for acute diarrheal diseases,vitamin A supplementation. So far we have our impact in 5states/14 locations &over 10,000 people have benefited from our products & this number will continue to grow
Financial sustainability plan: How is this initiative financially supported? How will you ensure its financial sustainability long-term?
Our annual budget is $35k & 0ur monthly turnover is $5k, this is a startup with a deliberate intervention to stimulate the wellbeing of individual,our ever increasing demand for products is an edge of boosting sales &revenue growth but basically being efficient is the key to sustaining healthcare products & we Will continue to update and provide protocols that prevent and treat errors taking individuals variance(blood grouping) into consideration

Years back as a child raised in a poor home, I often return to the hospital after being discharged as I was always unable to fully recover in my home environment due to lack of nutrition knowledge, improper preparation of food, poor sanitation, malnutrition among others & as I grew up seeing others pass through same challenge of treatment and relapse, I saw the need to create solutions and this led to the creation of DE REHOBOTH THERAPEUTIC STUDIO in October, 2014. At DE REHOBOTH we help individuals take active part in the maintenance of their health & in the treatment of their disorders through a more natural approach to healing.
