Problem: What problem is this initiative trying to address?
We try to elevate Small FARMERS' poverty by addressing these problems
- Unfair Market Access for Small FARMERS' harvest produce
The middleman take too much profit and too many middleman so the price for FARMERS is very low.
- Unfair Loan Access for Small FARMERS
FARMERS don't have access to financial institution like Bank because the process of the Banks is rigid and Banks don't have any information (Bank see FARMERS' lending is high risk).
- Low FARMERS' productivity because of unstable farming method
Solution Summary: What is the proposed solution? What do you see as its most promising aspects for creating shared value?
We try to solve these problems by giving
- Fair Market Access for Small FARMERS' harvest produce:
connecting FARMERS with Industry, Hotel Resto Café (Higher 30% at minimum) through our realtime platform where we buy FARMERS through Bank Transfer on delivery
- Fair Loan Access for Small FARMERS
eragano connect FARMERS with Banks, Fintech startup and leasing company by helping providing the financial institutions farming data, best practices, profiling and selection FARMERS, monitoring the FARMERS and gathering all documents needed
- Increase FARMERS' productivity because of best farming practices
We connect FARMERS using our Android App by Q&A Features in our App, Weather information, and Daily Schedule and notification about what to do and Farming Method training
FARMERS are using Android App where the Android phone is bundling with the loan.
Lenders, Industry and other part get realtime data from website dashboard.

- Increase Income of FARMERS: in average 75%
- Increase FARMERS productivity: in average 50%
Qualitative: using less pesticides (30%) and more traceable farming method, real fertilizer
Financial sustainability plan: How is this initiative financially supported? How will you ensure its financial sustainability long-term?
100% Earned Income
Mostly we ensure we can grow by our own based on our earned income
I can ensure the long term sustainability based on efficient process and 5-10% margin with large scale of users.
We use the model of sharing economies where people can be coordinator of FARMERS and receive the benefit from becoming our representatives (including recruiting FARMERS and training, etc)

Unique value proposition: What makes your initiative innovative? How does your project differ from other organizations working in the same field?
This initiative is innovative because we combine the "user friendly" and "less hassle" technology for smallholder FARMERS with "end-to-end solution".
Our project differs from other because
- we use "user friendly" User Interface/User Experience for Small FARMERS; Small FARMERS are non tech savvy
- we use data analytics and technology for supporting the efficient "end-to-end solution"
- we combine traceability and Good Agriculture Practice (include ICS and ACP like Nestle sourcing soybean)
Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that sparked the beginning of this initiative.
Indonesia is an Agriculture country with a lot of fertile land and we have around 25mio small FARMERS but we have a lot of poor FARMERS about 90% of our FARMERS.
There is a forum group discussion about our country back then at my university. From that, I kept thinking that someday I want to help Indonesian FARMERS because nobody is helping them and our country initiative is not correctly targeted and solving FARMERS' problem.
Then in 2014 I begin to do organic farming and see that farming can be done better with best practices and more fair access. That's why in Oct 2015, I created eragano to increase FARMERS' wealth (revenue and their saving). When eragano team go and meet the FARMERS, many FARMERS tell their sad story where unjustice happened a lot in their life as a FARMERS. One of the FARMER indeed throw away their tomatoes and let it rotten because the price is very cheap.
