Helping Hand Games

I want to use fun to feed people in need. I'm creating a mobile game that will support a chairty trying to fight the hunger problem.

Problem: What problem is this initiative trying to address?

Our first goal is to feed one million children effected by disaster, famine, or war.

Solution Summary: What is the proposed solution? What do you see as its most promising aspects for creating shared value?

Our plan is to leverage fun and the 36 billion dollar a year mobile game industry to supply established and proven charities with more money to work with.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Specify both the social and the environmental impact of your work

So far we have supplied 19 hot meals to children in need and we haven't released the game yet. The meals were supplied from shirt sales.

Financial sustainability plan: How is this initiative financially supported? How will you ensure its financial sustainability long-term?

There is verify little overhead for our game. We are planning on sustaining the company through earned income from the games we create.

Unique value proposition: What makes your initiative innovative? How does your project differ from other organizations working in the same field?

No one in the game industry is creating games for the purpose of supporting a charity.

Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that sparked the beginning of this initiative.

I was inspired by companies like Tom's shoes and Project 7 and my love of games. I realized that mobile games are the perfect platform to raise money for charity because it is free to the user and the money is generated by ads. The player gets to keep having fun like they had been and they get the satisfaction of helping someone in the process.

Where did you hear about the Nestlé Creating Shared Value Prize?

Great concept, Drew. As a suggestion, you need to clarify exactly how the game project will fund anti-hunger charities, and what your goals are to scale it.
