Problem: What problem is this initiative trying to address?

farmers face marketing problem when cost of transport their crops to markets exceed market value, that forces them to use their crops as very costly animal feed, or leave them in fields for land fertilization, that leads to greenhouse gases emission to environment , and forms greal loss for both of farmers’ incomes , and for many of natural resources that go to produce food that no one consumes as water , land , fertilizers, energy and also capital, in the same time rural suffers of unemployment and food insecurity

Solution Summary: What is the proposed solution? What do you see as its most promising aspects for creating shared value?

we provide rural farmers with specifically tailored, solar electric food dehydrators, that can turn the unmarketable amounts of their perishable crops that usually go to waste into, long shelf life , healthy , pure ,nutrient , free of chemical preservatives, powdered fruits and vegetables in just hours , while reducing crops bulk and weight by up to 20 times for cheaper transport and storage , the powdered fruits and vegetables can be sold directly to consumers to be consumed as fruit drinks , tomato sauces ,---with no need for additional processing steps , storable for up to 6 months with no need for cold storage, our food dehydrators can form very profitable in house microenterprises for rural women who suffer of social norms that prevent them from working outside their homes, and can help families to reduce food expenses by dehydrating crops in low price harvest season to be consumed in high price off season,

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Specify both the social and the environmental impact of your work

as a winner of innovate for a cause MASER EL KHEIR program, the program committed to make use of our devices in both of its wide range job creation, and food donation programs in Egypt, MASER EL KHEIR believe that reducing bulk and weight of fruits and vegetables and no need for cold storage of powdered food can make it easier and can reduce transport cost when targeting donating food to Egyptian isolated communities , As a winner of EU Switch Med program we have a wide opportunity to extend our activities to many of Mediterranean countries, as a winner of (your idea is your company ) governmental program we have a wide opportunity to extend our activities to thousands of rural farmers and unemployed

Financial sustainability plan: How is this initiative financially supported? How will you ensure its financial sustainability long-term?

we passed many of international, national and governmental competition, we received 2500 Euro from Switch Med program, 12000$ from MASER EL KHEIR innovate for a cause program for 5 % share in our company ,and we expect to receive up to 35000 $ from the Egyptian government for 8% share in our company very soon, much more these programs help us to open marketing channels not just in national but also on international scales that insure sustainable income for our organization

Unique value proposition: What makes your initiative innovative? How does your project differ from other organizations working in the same field?

our patent application has accepted and we expect to receive patent innovation soon, our devices specifically tailored to serve efficiently and economically in local conditions of developing countries, they are portable to suit in house, fields and roof tops enterprises, can serve by both of solar and electric energy to increase reliability and reduce operation costs , much more they equipped with many of new technical advantages that are not available in most advanced US comparable products

Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that sparked the beginning of this initiative.

We discovered a wide market gab of food dehydrators industry , and food dehydration sectors in Egypt , Africa, and Arab countries , that forms huge business opportunity due to huge potential need ,so we committed to turn our potential customers unmet need into business opportunities

many thanks fro your intrest , despite solar energy is clean free source of energy , its not reliable while solar cells are very costly, so our innovative patented appliances, can serve by electric power , in the same time they equpied by 4 integrated active solar air heater, and fans that can be powered by small low cost solar panel , the innovative design of our food dehydrators insures for the first time equal distripution of hot air in both of the upper and lower zones of dehydrator, we mave different models of our appliances, some are for family use, others are for medium and large commercial scales use each has a different price
