Problem: What problem is this initiative trying to address?
My business meets a need and demand for Nigeria with over 170 million in population cannot do without clean and quality drinking water. The demand for this product in my area is very high that the companies doing our business cannot meet the growing demand of the population, most especially in Gombe State where i am operating the business and my goal is to find a solution to the problem of thirst by providing quality and hygienic water.
Solution Summary: What is the proposed solution? What do you see as its most promising aspects for creating shared value?
Without water neither small businesses nor major global industries can function. Not family, farms or major agric business. Not energy production factory or computer manufacturers or steel companies. Similarly poor water quality or limited or unreliable access to water means higher costs for all businesses and all consumers. The purerity of my product will generate revenue as a result of the sales of my product, and it is a major source of revenue for the government as the government is even encouraging more producers, also by employing more staff and more jobs will be created in reducing unemployment. My goal is to be a solution to the problem of thirst by providing quality and hygienic water to the masses, also my vision is to be number one pure water supplier in the whole Gombe State, and mission is to exceed the customers expectations in every sense by providing hygienic water
Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Specify both the social and the environmental impact of your work
Water scarcity means greater risks for a community's long term viability and a negative impact on their competitiveness. It also means that a community's ability to grow and create jobs is at risks. Regardless of whether water has become the new oil, one thing is certain, water is ironically both taken for granted and serves as the engine of our economy, if not properly managed, water scarcity will directly affect the local ability to grow and creates jobs.
Financial sustainability plan: How is this initiative financially supported? How will you ensure its financial sustainability long-term?
By constant 30% increase in sales in 12 months, also to generate customer satisfaction so that at least 50% of our customer base is repeat business, and to provide quality satchet and bottled water at reasonable prices with exemplanary services. Although i have been applying for grants but i have 0% annual budget that comes from individual donation, grants, corporate contributions, only my earned income, that is why i am looking for funds.
Unique value proposition: What makes your initiative innovative? How does your project differ from other organizations working in the same field?
Neater, tasteless, well packaged pure water, lack of leakages when delivery, very affordable and reliabl
Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that sparked the beginning of this initiative.
Well, i developed the business of pure water from child hood when the Dam supplying water to my community developed a problem, by then people were establishing a pure water company in order to alleviate the suffering and one of my brother was the manager of one pure water company, i do follow him to the factory and assist him in the operation of the business, since then i found out is one of the lucrative business, after i got married, i was busy trying to establish my business on pure water, yet i could not get the funds, then the little money i have from my working place we started as a retailers with my wife by purchasing and selling like 100-200 bags in a week, that is how i started.
