BloomGreen Business Model Canvess (BMC)
Problem: What problem is this initiative trying to address?
The Algerian waste contains 70% of organic matter which called organic waste, my idea based on this matter,BloomGreen will reuse and transform this organic waste into benefit product which named « organic fertilizer » to be used it in the agriculture domain (Agriculture devlopment).
The quality and the quantity of the Algerian waste are the strongest reason why I thought about such business and in same time as environmental engineer I want to clean the communities from this waste which is danger to the environment.
Solution Summary: What is the proposed solution? What do you see as its most promising aspects for creating shared value?
The Algerian waste contains 70% of organic matter which called organic waste, my idea based on this matter, I will reuse and transform this organic waste into benefit product which named « organic fertilizer » to use it in the agriculture domain
Compost or fertilizer is produced through the activity of aerobic microorganisms. These microbes require oxygen, moisture, and food from the organic wastes in order to grow and multiply. When these factors are maintained at optimal levels, the natural decomposition process is greatly accelerated. The microbes generate heat, water vapor, and carbon dioxide as they transform raw materials into a stable soil conditioner.
At the end, according to my business proposal my business ensures to apply ten SDGs signed by the UN By 2015 : zero hunger, no poverty, good health and well-being, water sanitation/water saving, sustainable cities and communities, decent work and economic growth, climate action, life on hand , partnerships for goals.
Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Specify both the social and the environmental impact of your work
a) Environment: My idea seeks to reach its goals to make an effort to distinguish between pollution prevention and pollution control by defining pollution prevention as waste minimization, recovery, and clean technology, and pollution control as treatment and management of wastes to minimize the effect of the waste on the environment. True pollution prevention reduces the mass of contaminants that are produced, and do not just treat waste after it is generated.
b) Education: during the launching of my idea I aim to share the real object behind such companies with people especially the next generation of people because if we give them a good education about the nature and its value to keep us alive they will learn by they will learn their-selves to be conscious about any kind of waste; they will help about collecting, separation and elimination of the waste at source.
Also: Ensuring healthy sustainable agriculture foods, sustainable cities & jobs, Climate action and awareness.
Financial sustainability plan: How is this initiative financially supported? How will you ensure its financial sustainability long-term?
• Total fixed costs: $116000
• Total variable costs: $10351 (1552650DZD) per month.
ACCORDING TO THE ESTIMATIONS TYPED PREVIOUSLY:
First year investments needed= Fixed costs+ variable*12= 116000+10351*12=$240212
• First year investments needed: $240212
• First year turnover=unit price*11*units sold=9.99*12*2000= $239760
• First year turnover: $239760 (2000 bags sold /month)
• Second year turnover: $415800 (3500 bags sold /month)
• Third year turnover: $475200 (4000 bags sold /month)
Well, investing money is so important to launch BLOOMGREEN, for that; working to make it a stable business is the first thing I will work about after receiving the required money, after that paying the investors back is a duty.
Unique value proposition: What makes your initiative innovative? How does your project differ from other organizations working in the same field?
At the moment, Algerian has no companies work in the field of composting and/or recycling organic matter. As a result, the launch of my business in the Algerian communities makes it novel in all the meaning of the word ;
Ensuring Customer assistant, paying online, offering internships, awareness events, products certification and offering delivering services will be the strongest keys which make my business novel and unique over the country and over all our lovely Africa.
Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that sparked the beginning of this initiative.
Well the "Aha" story of my business BloomGreen started in classroom on the end of 2016 (few months before graduation), A professor during a lesson of "waste management" said "Why Algeria keeps buying other countries waste, why we do not collect and invest in our waste especially the organic waste: Dear student believe me you are throwing waste! You are throwing money"
That was the begining, after three months I have started working on this project till this moment.
