Problem: What problem is this initiative trying to address?

We aim to reduce the unemployment rate of women in Lebanon, by finding a solution that serve the unemployed mothers and working mothers: train unemployed mothers on cooking skills and serve healthy homemade food to working mothers or/and any individual who does not have time to cook a healthy meal. Therefore, we will be tackling the obesity issue among Lebanese citizens.

Solution Summary: What is the proposed solution? What do you see as its most promising aspects for creating shared value?

Having an equipment central kitchen that can accommodate a bigger number of cooks and serve more clients and events - that will sustain the NGO operations and will have a bigger impact on the Lebanese community. - Our cooks will have a better income and will improve their livelihood, - our NGO will sustain and recruit a bigger number of cooks, - Our target customers will have a healthy lifestyle, In addition to that, have our cooks become ambassadors to our social mission where they promote the impact of healthy food on individuals, e.g: workshops about healthy tips for kids food in schools, or/and for elders in shelters, and in any other related events and occasions. Sure we will need a training room for the cooks - where we can also have different workshops for group of people who would like to attend awareness sessions about healthy cooking tips.

social impact is related to enhancing the livelihood of unemployed mothers + healthy lifestyle for individual who are looking for homemade customized healthy meals. as for environment, we look forward to have a recycling packaging for our central kitchen.

Financial sustainability plan: How is this initiative financially supported? How will you ensure its financial sustainability long-term?

we are financially supported by: Grants + Corporate contribution. we looking forward to develop the sustainability of the project by increasing our sales through bigger events, corporate and individual orders. we believe we can do this by having a central kitchen and training center. our current sustainability: we take a percentage for our NGO from the corporate deals/events.

Unique value proposition: What makes your initiative innovative? How does your project differ from other organizations working in the same field?

our initiative is innovative since we are creating opportunities for unemployed mothers at their homes - especially for the cooks who can not work outside their homes for specific reasons: kids at home, having someone in the family have special needs or sick. at the same time we are fighting obesity by serving homemade healthy meals, and making life of working mothers or any busy individual more practical and healthier. we differ from other organizations by creating a solution for 2 problems.

Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that sparked the beginning of this initiative.

the beginning of this initiative was developed from an existing problem we identified in our community: - unemployed rate of women especially 40 years old and above - working mothers having a full time job and don't have time to cook a healthy meal for their families. - access to healthy homemade food that can not be provided in supermarkets.

This is a really exciting idea! It might be worth looking into having the cooks prepare meals in their own homes as a home-cooking spin that requires a lower capital investment than a large joint kitchen facility, but it would be important to consider health and safety in that route. Overall a good idea that can scale and be very sustainable
