1. Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that led the founder(s) to get started or the story of how you saw the potential for this to succeed

The team realized that innovative and creative thinking should not start at the universities. Rather, we realized that there is a bigger lapse in the mindset of the younger students. This is because a large amount of students already leave school after high-school. If we can capture a little more of them, and guide them to formulate ideas and build solutions that bring about positive change, then we are producing socially responsible and innovative students that are ready for the future.

2. The problem: What problem surrounding employability or financial capability are you helping to solve?

In the Philippines, children are being conditioned to go to school to become service workers when they graduate. In fact, one of the ultimate goals of the most Filipinos is to become a service worker abroad. If we can change the way the children are conditioned, we can bring about more innovators and scientists, more ventures, and improve not only financially, but in general quality of life.

3. Your Solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

We are planning to empower different public and private primary and secondary educational institutions, colleges and universities, youth leadership organizations, and youth councils through various activities like Design Thinking workshops, Entrepreneurship seminars, Social Innovation, and Educators training programs.

4. How are you innovating or using unique approaches to solving the problem?

Rather that providing people the solutions to their problems, the company aims to show people the appropriate method in understanding the problems on their own, formulate personalized solutions, and validate the solutions all by themselves. That is the core belief of the company, that we should not solve other peoples problems, but rather, empower them in their problem solving processes.

5. Employability: how is your organization or project teaching people to develop the skills that they need to survive in the future job market?

The company specifically caters to this aspect. By training youth in different innovation and design processes, we are no longer churning out the traditional corporate slave employees. Instead we are generating future professionals who are lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and problem solvers, which makes them much more valuable assets in companies.

5a. Please describe which future-oriented skills your organization is focused on fostering and how you have measured / plan to measure progress

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills - This means that the stakeholders like students and youth are able to perform critical and creative thinking in providing solutions to discipline-related problems. Lifelong Learning - Stakeholders should be able to utilize lifelong learning skills in pursuit of personal development and excellence in all forms of practice. Social and Ethical Responsibility - Stakeholders should be able to do excellence in their various fields of specialization with consideration to the benefit of society.

6. Financial capability: how is your organization or project creating innovative solutions that arm people with ability to optimize their current and future financial health

A goal of the company is to empower the stakeholders such as students and youth groups to form their own ideas, generate solutions, and form ventures. By allowing the stakeholders to do so, we are not only solving social problems, the potential stakeholder-owned venture also ends up as a component of the country's economic generation by providing jobs and effectively alleviating poverty.

6a. Please describe what aspect of financial capability your organization is focused on fostering and how you have measured / plan to measure progress.

By empowering future professionals to have the ability to form ventures and startups based on their innovations, we are giving them also the chance to exercise personal financial management.

7. Marketplace: Who else is addressing the same problem? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

Educational institutions are already addressing this problem at a collegiate level. However, we are targeting students at an earlier stage of learning, youth leadership councils, and other youth organizations.

8. Impact: How has your project made a difference so far?

With just four people in the team, since October has: -Trained Participants in multiple Hackathons (NASA Space App Challenge, Impact Hackathon, MakeSense). -Conducted Social Innovation seminars in the science high-schools and freshman university students. -Partnered with different social organizations (Limitless Lab, Kaya Natin Movement) in Design Thinking Training. -Engaged in different incubation programs to further expand our reach.

9. Financial Sustainability Plan. Can you tell us about you plan to fund your project and how that plan will be sustainable in the short, medium, and long term?

Since the company is a social enterprise, partnerships(long-term) and sponsorship(short-term) from different private companies, non-profit organizations, and local government units are considered as the most viable funding source for the organization. In particular, the company aims to partner with the Department of Education of different cities for us to access more schools and students through their funding.

10. Team

The team is founded by four(4) people: The Founder is an Electronics engineering graduate/business development hybrid with a design thinking and innovation background, has won multiple design challenges and competitions both locally and internationally. The Co-founder is a Engineering Instructor and Researcher engaged in different technology social initiatives. The team also took in a Marketing Specialist-Student Leader, and a Technology officer with specialization in design and development.
