1. Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that led the founder(s) to get started or the story of how you saw the potential for this to succeed

Seeing my peers hit rock bottom all of a sudden due to mental illness, substance abuse and lack of ambition really worried me. I would see the brightest and wittiest kids lose their luster, and once confronted all they said was that they needed proper guidance. I then sat down with my friends and started discussing and researching on this issue. We realised that this was a very far fetching issue for 240 million teenagers around the world now suffer from mental illness, which severely hinders their progress. I decided to pitch an idea for an application that would connect teenagers to mentors around them at an entrepreneurial summit at LUMS Lahore. Our idea had won and was widely supported, which motivated us to believe in our product.

2. The problem: What problem surrounding employability or financial capability are you helping to solve?

1 in every 5 people now suffer from mental illness. This is therefore the most prominent illness in the world yet it is not even recognised as an actual illness due to stigma that lies in our society. Teenage is the most crucial age in which your entire future is being built. If you are provided with proper guidance and therapy in these crucial years many futures can be saved.

3. Your Solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

We plan to connect teenagers to mentors, therapists and psychologists around them in order to arrange therapy sessions at a subsidised rate. We will get these mentors on board who will fill up their vacant appointment slots on the application. Teenagers will then be able to book these appointments from their application. This will connect these teenagers to the help that they need around them, be it a psychologist for mental illnesses such as depression, a career advisor for lack of ambition, who will help refine your career choices according to your interests or a therapist who will provide rehabilation for substance abuse such as alcoholism. Getting NGO’s , government organisations, angel investors and educational institutions on board will help market the product and give funding. This will help us reduce the costs for the therapy sessions, helping make them more affordable for teenagers. Once our platform will start running we plan to remove the stigma about mental illness and help normalise this severe global issue. This will help save the futures and lives of teenagers around the world.

4. How are you innovating or using unique approaches to solving the problem?

Our application will be beneficial for both
