1. Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that led the founder(s) to get started or the story of how you saw the potential for this to succeed

I once worked as a teacher in NGO. The students there often asked “What's the use of doing homework?” Even though I’ve graduated from University, I don’t see the connection between the knowledge we’ve learn and the real world either. We asked 50 parents from primary and secondary school what do they want their children to learn most. The answer are that identify the problems in real life, teamwork, communication skill and active implementation. These capabilities are the manifestation of entrepreneurship. If we can design thematic courses and activities in the entrepreneurial situation. Moreover, combine real entrepreneurs to form a community. We can let children to cultivate the entrepreneurship most needed in life through each activity.

2. The problem: What problem surrounding employability or financial capability are you helping to solve?

Students spend a lot of time studying to deal with examinations and assignments. This resulting in a low willingness to learn and they don’t know how to practice what they preach. It‘s a waste of time and money to cultivate talents. Now, parents choose to follow the traditional way, or allow children to explore and try more new things. The former can't face the fast changing life and work field, the latter need to spent a lot of money.

3. Your Solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

We will implement the impact of this project through the following three sections. 1. Sort out friendly store map: Combining the resources of students’ region and sort them into friendly store maps to include businesses that support students' entrepreneurial ideas. The business can also provide resources for students to send their products or promote their business. Let students' influence spread to society. 2. Form a regional industrial mentor group: Find a relevant public welfare organization and experienced entrepreneurs to form an industrial mentor group. Provide teaching assistance for related topics and give students feedback and consultation regularly. Let students' learning can be connected with reality. Especially in areas where resources are scarce, it can enable students to practice what they preach. 3.The structure of a sustainable cycle: This competition has added elements of educational NGO teens as facilitator, hoping to form a sustainable cycle. Children who have access to take resources can become givers like facilitator or mentor in this cycle when they grow up in the future.

4. How are you innovating or using unique approaches to solving the problem?

One is encouraging children to create actual value and actively seek resources. When raising funds, children will be asked to think about the characteristics of their team and products and how to convince investors that you will do better than others. They are all excited about being able to make money on their own and would often go home and sell their product to family and friends. There’s a great sense of accomplishment when earning income. Some students even joined our course more than once. The other is Promoting Social Responsibility. When we let our students practice sales, we let them walk out to the street bazaars. Not only let them practice to communicate with strangers, but also let them know that the social responsibility.

5. Employability: how is your organization or project teaching people to develop the skills that they need to survive in the future job market?

Trid=Try +Kid. We want to create a kingdom that encourages children to try bravely. Trid Kingdom is committed to combining international resources. Through Project-Based Learning courses, students learn how to face failure and creating value in the situations without standard answers. We nurturing children in Taiwan's elementary and junior high schools entrepreneurship that will help them to go through the changing future. We’ve introduced a 22-year-old children's entrepreneurship course BizWorld from Silicon Valley. We have also developed our own courses in line with the current education system, let children learn the key abilities needed for this generation: problem discovery, team communication, and proactive execution.

5a. Please describe which future-oriented skills your organization is focused on fostering and how you have measured / plan to measure progress

The future-oriented skills we focus on are the entrepreneurial spirits. With PBL programs, we cultivate students the following 3 abilities: 1. Problem finding 2. Team communication 3.Active execution. Measuring method will be carried out in 2 ways: qualitative and quantitative. The former is to understand the student's absorption level through the back-and-forth measurement. The other is to ask the students to answer the peer assessment and through teacher's record. We designed different level of PBL courses according to the age so students can choose different challenge.

7. Marketplace: Who else is addressing the same problem? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

Some courses in Taiwan are more focused on the acquisition of personal financial and business capabilities, while others have entrepreneurship courses that allow students to sell some goods and calculate the income. Compare with them, our courses have following 3 characteristics: 1. Encourage children to create actual value and actively seek resources. 2. Matchmaking industry: We have enetered Appworks Acceslarator as 13th menber. I am also a member of the Startup Leadership Program (SLP) Taipei. 3. Promote Social Responsibility.

8. Impact: How has your project made a difference so far?

1. 2016 May: Obtained the Taiwan exclusive license of BizWorld, a Silicon Valley 22-year children entrepreneurship course. Through this course, students can understand better the basic concepts of business. There was a first grade student who always frag her feet at school. During our course he was the sales manager in his team. He felt responsible for the team, so he told his mother to leave early or he would be late for work. “ If I am late, the company will not have no sales manager,” he said. 2. 2018 Feb.-Jun.: The BizWorld Impact challenge was held for the first time in Taiwan.The number of participants in 2019 increased by 200% and the amount of public welfare donations increased by 445%. 3. We have had engaged more than 2,500 students, conduct courses in 16 counties and cities in Taiwan, and organized teachers workshops for nearly 100 teachers.

9. Financial Sustainability Plan. Can you tell us about you plan to fund your project and how that plan will be sustainable in the short, medium, and long term?

In initial stage, we’ll cooperate with NGOs of children-related. Applying sponsorship from Foundations to obtain 70% of capital investment. In middle stage, discuss long-term cooperate with large company whose CSR is education related to get stable income. In long term, we set the rule that all the seed funding will have to pass to the teams next year, that is, the students can make effort to pass on the entrepreneurial experience. Hope that through vertical continuation, with participant of college students, industry mentor and parents support, we can revitalize the entire community and engage more different people in the this learning cycle. Allows each experience to be passed on to more children and forms a practical education reform.
