Where are you making a difference?

French people, families, children included impact and influence, International activities where pets are in danger and where French families are traveling, animo ALOKI story telling is managed with the help of the "small aloki", 2 children which are involved in solidarities and respectful activities regarding pet condition everywhere when they travel (new videos in different countries France incl., stories, vet advices, how to help shelters with responsible care, books for children in 2020...)

1. Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that led the founder(s) to get started or the story of how you saw the potential for this project to succeed.

The idea began whith a family wich of travel in Indonesia during 1 month, with 2 children, where we decided to engage all the family to help animal conditions during the trip. To access to informations on how we could do, where children could be accepted in volontary programs, where we can help volunteers for turtles, stray dogs, monkeys...together, included advices and not only touristic visits was a difficult "road ap". It makes us 3 months before our trip to be sure that we could help local people and animals with 2 young children and come back with a story and experience to promote inside the schools. Finaly, the experience was magic, children are very engaged to the animal respect, pets and wild life, even in France with care centers.

2. The problem: What problem are you helping to solve?

A lack of financial ressources to do travels with child, video, to convince animal shelters to welcome the children, to build a new web site only dedicated to this topic and promote experience to schools with a edition of books "les petits ALOKI en Voyage". This initiative is done in our free-time and need to be more visible to attract touristic Guides to help us with a strong financial support to become a reference in animo-responsible web site.

3. Your solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

The best solution is to take enough time to plan the building of the web site with new video and informations, to make contacts with shelters and care centers around the world to discuss with them how they could include protection programs for tourists and gi to vet students opportunities during their trainees to go there to collect all informations useful for the program and the web site. In order to manage the time, we need to stop working in the vet clinic and have enough financial ressources during one year for working everyday on the web site, to manage the contact, the web content, the business discussion with travel guides and their own web site for different partnership or link… The Financial support will help for : -moneying travels, vet student trip, -video footage and editing for pet protection and best responsible actions for the tourism, -book for children edition and printing (to find an editor convinced by the project) - distribution network in schools in France -media relation in ordre to have more diffusion even with a TV documentary -digital development for more visibility and SEO management (to pay the SEO for the launch)

4. Innovation: How are you innovating or using unique approaches to solve the problem?

The best way of innovations is : 1-to adress directly the messages to family with the children experience (the 2 small ALOKI) in order to touch the heart of the family, the children motivation. The future will be build by the kids and the animal pet protection when they will travel more and more in the future is a key ; 2- to give "Vet advices" and not too much technical advices, as a caution and confidence message, a mix of emotion and science ; 3- to convince the big giant of tourism activities that they could include on their trip recommandations a solid and credible web site, www;animoaloki.fr, for animal respect and an approach of responsibility when people are travelling with them.

5. How does your project harness the pet-human bond to help people develop important social competencies (For example: emotional intelligence, collaboration, empathy, resilience, inclusivity) and overcome serious societal issues (for example: violence, abuse, trauma, isolation, abandonment)?

The project will help ton include animal respect Inside the Leisure activities, a new way of traveling with more empathy to the animal condition and educate children that they can help or take care of pets very soon in their life, even if they don't have a dog or a cat at home, when they go around the world with their parents.

6. Impact: how has your project made a difference so far in terms of both business outputs and social impact? How do you plan on measuring progress?

The first steps with animo ALOKI for wild life was appreciated by social media, experts and few media (feedbacks and press coverage) but the development was not enough until now to have a wide audience. The best impact will be measured by convincing travel guide to include this web site link and adress their own tourists visitors to consult the advices from animo ALOKI before traveling ; and the volume of the book edition and distribution "the small ALOKI in travelling…".

7. Growth strategies: what are your main strategies for scaling your impact?

Licensing to travel Guides for example...or sell the web site to a french media wich could be interested by the content and the originality of the responsible approach

8. Creating shared value: How does your initiative create value for different stakeholders?

The main protection and influent association Don't have this kind of program, they only denounce bad practices by touristic activities and abuse to pets in order to act in local. They Don't have a leader program dedicated to education wher everyone could find the best and credible advices. The main stakeholders could be all the pet protection associations and they could recommand the web site if we have the possibility to demonstrate them how is the seriously and long term approach of this content.

9. Financial sustainability plan: can you tell us about your plan to fund your project and how that plan will be sustainable in the short, medium, and long term?

Regarding a Financial support for the development the 1rst year it could be split like that : -20 K€ for ressources for the DVM manager during the year in order to stop the vet clinic activity (as an income or subvention) -30 K€ to re-build the web site and complète content, SEO included and media materials -20 K€ to make videos Editing -30 K€ for travels and vet student help in order to make them their trainees in volunteer program and collect all informations and materials dedicated to the web site Other financial ressources could come from licensing activities with travel guides.

10. Team: what is the current composition of your team (types of roles, qualifications, full-time vs. part-time, board members, etc.), and how do you plan to evolve the team’s composition as the project grows?

Until now, the team is limited to 1 vet and 2 times per year, vet students during their trainees. The purpose is to integrate a network of professionnals engaged in digital, video support during their trips for animal documentary around the world like "Sound Wave on the Road" team, more vet students trainees and few families as witnesses with new small ALOKI children to participate to the program as volunteers.

11. How do you plan to influence your field of work if you are a winner of this edition of the Purina BetterwithPets Prize?

I have a strong media relation network which could help me to influence and reinforce the press coverage, included the b ; I am engaged in the next public and local (municipal) campaign 2020-2026 to integrate animal protection inside the city pets and wild life ; To support RSE engagement from Purina dedicated to pets condition and responsible activities, we could integrate different forms of philanthropy as : -Purina and Nestlé logo included inside the animo ALOKI Web site as a main promotor -a special edition of "the small aloki trips" books dedicated to collaborators of Purina with a special price ; -a free participation to the Facebook lives managed by Purina for stakeholders and so on
