1. Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that led the founder(s) to get started or the story of how you saw the potential for this project to succeed.

Actually, when I lived in the 6th city of October , I found many dogs and cats are died because of a lack of food, and others are died because the car crashed them. I still remember , there are many cats come to my apartment and other neighbors looking for some food. My brothers, and I always gave them some meat and fish. And also there is terrible situation when I saw the the dog was dead by car accident , I saw something like tears in another dog which look at him. That situation pushed me to create this idea.

2. The problem: What problem are you helping to solve?

Saving pets from death in Egypt.

3. Your solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

As I said before, and i will establish small non-profit organization and make volunteer team to collect the significant amount of cats and dogs in our area as we can, then take care of them in big house and we will try to have a link with the most prominent organizations of pets in the world to help me.

4. Innovation: How are you innovating or using unique approaches to solve the problem?

I think my idea will focus on treating pets as human so it is different from other organizations works in the same field.

5. How does your project harness the pet-human bond to help people develop important social competencies (For example: emotional intelligence, collaboration, empathy, resilience, inclusivity) and overcome serious societal issues (for example: violence, abuse, trauma, isolation, abandonment)?

I plan to establish the organization and then appoint some people who have experience in treating pets. Then we will open the gates for volunteers to participate in this project.

6. Impact: how has your project made a difference so far in terms of both business outputs and social impact? How do you plan on measuring progress?

This project will make a difference in Egyptian society because the people will learn that the dogs and cats are creatures, they have feelings as we have the main idea of my project not just to save pets but to teach people the pets like humans in everything, they have feelings like us. The main idea of this project not only to protect pets but to show people the pets are part of our society.

7. Growth strategies: what are your main strategies for scaling your impact?

I will use the fund, which I will get it from the prize to start up for this organization includes rent house and hire some staff. I will start to look for support from charity organizations and business people. I will start to look for some global organization of pets which they can support my project

9. Financial sustainability plan: can you tell us about your plan to fund your project and how that plan will be sustainable in the short, medium, and long term?

I will use the fund, which I will get it from the prize to start up for this organization includes rent house and hire some staff. I will start to look for support from charity organizations and business people. I will start to look for some global organization of pets which they can support my project.

10. Team: what is the current composition of your team (types of roles, qualifications, full-time vs. part-time, board members, etc.), and how do you plan to evolve the team’s composition as the project grows?

First, I will establish an organization second i will hire a veterinary doctor. Third, I will employ some breeders who know how they can handle pets fourth, and we will open the gates for volunteers, we need at least 20 volunteers as beginning after the first year. I will try to link my organization with other global organizations of pets in Europe and U.S.A

11. How do you plan to influence your field of work if you are a winner of this edition of the Purina BetterwithPets Prize?

I work as a chemistry teacher, so my work field is different, but the prize will help me so much to make something good for pets (cats and dogs) in Egypt.

12. How did you hear about this challenge?
