1. Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that led the founder(s) to get started or the story of how you saw the potential for this project to succeed.

2 years ago,i saw a man holding a puppy in street on my way after completing my day.the puppy was in severe pain,i wanted to help but i had low information and experience, the owner told me a car hit him and he can’t afford to take him to a clinic,he was about to let him suffer in the street and this was shocking.i offered to take him to shelter but i didn’t found any,i can’t let him,i took him to a clinic where they refuse to help without money,i had no money to pay for surgical operation,i suggested to let him in the clinic till going to home, get money and return, they refused, while i was looking for another place to be treated,he died! i’m still thinking of him, what if i found a shelter this day what if i got training enabled me to help.

2. The problem: What problem are you helping to solve?

I want to solve many problems in my society 1- stray animals. 2- homeless people. 3- abandoned animals with disabilities. 4- lake of training programs for veterinary students. 5- lake of information of society about animals life and welfare.

3. Your solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

founding a center which have many compartments shelter for homeless people as well as shelter for stray animals, well equipped clinic and rehabilitation therapy. it can be also under supervision of veterinary medicines in Egypt to give a chance to vet.Student to get fruitful training, good acknowledgment to practice pet medicine after graduation if they want.

4. Innovation: How are you innovating or using unique approaches to solve the problem?

By making paws center all of these problems will be solved at one place , to be the first place in Egypt where these services are produced with no money. i gave an explanation of every step of my idea in the file uploaded, i discovered some methods to decrease expenses without decreasing the value of the service presented. the idea will benefit the whole society containing people and animals. --Market Opportunity Opportunity to Build,In every place, you will found many stray animal and homeless people so every place need such service, the whole country is available to us and whatever place this project will be established will make it purpose effectively. Freedom to Invent and there is no competitors.

5. How does your project harness the pet-human bond to help people develop important social competencies (For example: emotional intelligence, collaboration, empathy, resilience, inclusivity) and overcome serious societal issues (for example: violence, abuse, trauma, isolation, abandonment)?

my project will develop important social competencies as collaboration, empathy, inclusivty for homeless people and give them another chance to become good producing citizens. overcome serious societal issues as violence toward stray animals, animal abuse, abandonment by collect them a a safe quite place represents all what they need. can give animals with disabilities a proper therapy. as well as this i want to make this idea in Egypt " dogs can help sick children who suffer from cancer by amusing them during chemo-therapy sessions and can guide them and take of them also. children love animal a lot and this will decrease a little their pain and give them some joy. in some cases large breed of dogs could help disable children while receiving their physiotherapy,i want so hard to apply this here in Egypt. first save them, make good treatment and training program in the center then with the help of these animals we could face many societal issues, strengthen pet-human bond and make people that these animals are so helpful and we should live together peacefully.

6. Impact: how has your project made a difference so far in terms of both business outputs and social impact? How do you plan on measuring progress?

i will measure my business success by seeing more people funding us to help more animal, contributing with us to rebound homeless people and give them opportunities for work, vet students came to train and take experience, i will be happy of course if i see this project spread in the whole country. i will consider my business success when i see there is no homeless people in the streets, no stray animal, no animal abuse, there is no defect in practical field for veterinary students and opportunities available to them, When there are more than one rehabilitation center in Egypt, when people start to confess that animal are very helpful and can rely on them in many cases specially in children disabilities, when they change the idea of dogs refers to rabies only and it could be prevented as well as many diseases, when we work together to make our society a better place containing all of us.

7. Growth strategies: what are your main strategies for scaling your impact?

phase 1 • We could start with the shelters. • Clinic. • Vet. Training. phase 2 Rehabilitation therapy. • Training dog area. • The rest of educational halls and vet ambulance. phase 3 Will depend on maximization animal welfare • Dog walk area. • Pet supplies. • Make another branches of the center all over the country.

8. Creating shared value: How does your initiative create value for different stakeholders?

i could express my project creating shared value, it mainly act on social value to help homeless people and stray animal and veterinary students. we could make benefit of this by generating a generation of well educated vets, well trained animals can help in many situations, people can adopt them and refer certain jobs for them as mentioned before, the rehabilitation center will make economic value too as it will be the one and only in Egypt. by containing animals and observing them we could also control many diseases. helping of homeless people will benefit us a lot and from another point of view they also help us in taking care of animals as they feel what about living in a bad condition with limited resources.

9. Financial sustainability plan: can you tell us about your plan to fund your project and how that plan will be sustainable in the short, medium, and long term?

i explain this in the file I've uploaded, We could be funded by educational organizations. We could be funded by animal lovers. We could be funded by human and animal rights organizations. But first of all, your fund will help a lot to establish this wonderful place. another option we could introduce some services to pets with owners who could pay for it in our clinic or rehabilitation therapy, which will be opened for all animal not just in the shelter, taking this money to help us to treat stray ones.

10. Team: what is the current composition of your team (types of roles, qualifications, full-time vs. part-time, board members, etc.), and how do you plan to evolve the team’s composition as the project grows?

i include my future team in the uploaded file, they are very talented passionate vets from different universities in Egypt, fighting for human and animal health, they all want to help, they all want a society where animals and human live together peacefully in a appropriate environment having all requirements they in need. one of them will be in charge of the clinic another in rehabilitation therapy, i will be in charge of the shelters, one organize training sessions and awareness campaign

11. How do you plan to influence your field of work if you are a winner of this edition of the Purina BetterwithPets Prize?

as a veterinarian i will introduce new methods of treatment, new techniques, encourage student training to become more successful in this field, the more well trained vets, the more healthy animals in society, able to help any animal in need of them. help people to get closer to animal without any fear of them, how to deal with animal at first. if i saw this happens i will be proud veterinarian working in maintain animal health, achieving animal welfare and preventing any risk factor to pass to human. establishing my center will help in keep diseased animal away form human till receiving treatment, make rehabilitation to be involved again to community, we can not help animal and human suffer in streets, so give me chance to help them

12. How did you hear about this challenge?
