What is your current yearly budget for the initiative? If you are an idea stage, what early budget you would need to kick-off and run operations in your first year?

  • €1mil - €5mil

Organisation Type

  • youth-led initiative: organisations, whether informal or formal, created and led primary by young people

1. Founding story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that led the founder(s) to get started or the story of how you saw the potential for this project to succeed.

We are Muslims of Russia, we always cherished the nature of the places where we live. Now, when we are trying to develop tourism, we see that not everyone is brought up with a love of nature. There are tourists who can just destroy the anthills for fun, leave the trash in the forest, pollute the river source, which causes discontent of local residents. I want to take responsibility and begin to enclose the anthills, put on them funny signs with information and rules of behavior in nature .

2. The problem: What problem are you helping to solve?

The problem of nature pollution and destruction of anthills in Bashkir forests.

3. Your solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

I have a team of like-minded people of 10 people. 1. I plan to carry out explanatory work with local people. 2. I want to join forces. 3. Prepare skilled men to prepare fencing. 4. Making fencing and signs. 5. Listing plates in 3 languages. 6. Install them everywhere, where the tourist steps.

4. Innovation: How are you innovating or using unique approaches to solve the problem?

I think this is nothing new. Our grandfathers already installed fencing. But they collapsed. Therefore, they can be replaced by more stable (iron) enclosures.

5. How does your project harness the pet-human bond to help people develop important social competencies (For example: emotional intelligence, collaboration, empathy, resilience, inclusivity) and overcome serious societal issues (for example: violence, abuse, trauma, isolation, abandonment)?

Our example has served the younger generations. This solves the problem of violence, neglect of nature, consumer attitude to everything.

6. Impact: how has your project made a difference so far in terms of both business outputs and social impact? How do you plan on measuring progress?

1. The question of live communication between people with a single idea is resolved, their cohesion, interaction. 2. By placing an order for fencing, we enable local businessmen to earn money. 3. We educate the young generation in a love of nature.

7. Growth strategies: what are your main strategies for scaling your impact?

Our project provides an opportunity for others who want to do this, where they live. After all, people follow each other. And sometimes you just need a push. I also want the project to be adopted at the state level. And so that further the state itself would help activists of other areas.

8. Creating shared value: How does your initiative create value for different stakeholders?

The value of this project is that people rethink their attitude to nature, to their inhabitants, even if it is an insect, like an ant. It follows that people helping nature will help themselves, uniting, communicating, doing good deeds.

9. Financial sustainability plan: can you tell us about your plan to fund your project and how that plan will be sustainable in the short, medium, and long term?

1. Our efforts to inform people amount to 1 million Swiss francs. 2. The separation of activists and the recruitment of a field team is 1 million Swiss francs. 3. Ordering and manufacturing of fencing - 1 million Swiss francs. 4. Installation - 1 million Swiss francs. 5. Work with the media and attracting attention in subsequent years - 1 million Swiss francs.

10. Team: what is the current composition of your team (types of roles, qualifications, full-time vs. part-time, board members, etc.), and how do you plan to evolve the team’s composition as the project grows?

There are 3 active people in my team who lead the remaining 7 people. I want to tell you about these 3 people. 1. Kinzyabaeva Nuria Salavatovna, journalist, active member of the team, author of radio and television programs on the environment. 2. Sagitov Fidan Maratovich - an experienced tourist instructor who leads tourists to interesting places and sees with his own eyes the bad manners of some tourists. 3. Absalyamova Julia Alikovna - organizer of tours in the Urals. Experienced travele

11. How do you plan to influence your field of work if you are a winner of this edition of the Purina BetterwithPets Prize?

I will talk about my project everywhere. to attract the public to nature, to a loving attitude even to anthills.

12. How did you hear about this challenge?

Hi,

I like your idea as it is so linked to Nature and how Nature can be good for Humans if they have the Understanding and Respect for the Eco-system; which includes your Ants!
I wish you Good Luck in your venture and I hope you get support and help with it in the future.
Best Wishes,
Charlotte Erika Walker
