dox - Battery Predictive Analytics
Cutting down battery waste globally while helping e-mobility companies reduce their costs
Yes, I fulfill all the eligibility criteria
What is the Name of Your Organization?
dox Technologies Inc.
What is The Mission of Your Organization?
Even though batteries are leading the way in clean energy, extracting battery materials, manufacturing and recycling batteries have a considerable carbon footprint. Most of the companies waste batteries due to their unpredictability and they tend to recycle them prematurely. Our mission at dox is to reduce the carbon footprint of batteries globally by helping companies predict battery behavior and optimize their usage while also cutting down their CAPEX and OPEX drastically.

Why is the problem that your organization is solving important to you and your co-founders/team?
My co-founder (Fred) and I have been working on this startup since 2015. When we started, we were working on a battery project (https://youtu.be/8ZGpcNnHlII) for drones. We always had a vision where drones, robots, and autonomous cars will be all over the place. And we knew as well, that the only way for our vision to be fulfilled is to have a reliable clean energy source for this tech. When we started, companies weren't as invested as today in batteries. Today, everyone is making batteries better and we want to empower them through our software to make the most out of them.
Please provide 1-2 examples of your product/organization making an impact on a city.
For electric fleet operators: https://youtu.be/tHM4Owrw7Cg
For OEMs: currently, we are working with a big OEM to reduce their battery waste (we are in the final stages, discussing pricing)
For Utilities: we are working with a Fortune 500 utility company that installs batteries in homes and businesses. Our algorithm will be used to make sure batteries are always safe (fires)
Fast forward 15-20 years. What does your organization look like? What is the impact that it's had on society?
We want to fulfill the vision that we had: robots, drones and autonomous electric cars. We believe that this tech will help human civilization reach levels we never thought of. For now, our short term goal (<5 years) is to be the leader in the market of battery software. 10 years from now, we might become leaders in battery manufacturing or an EV manufacturer. Since we are focusing on a core tech (batteries), we can grow it into anything we want, and to whatever the market needs.
What differentiates your organization? What makes it so that you can drive a bigger and better benefit to society than other organizations in this space?
1- Cutting edge algorithm: we've been R&Ding our algorithm for the last 4 years (since drone batteries)
2- Diverse expertise in different markets: our small team (8) has more than 100 years of experience in automotive, drones, software, HR, hardware, and more.
3- Amazing Product: unlike our competitors, we are adopting a comprehensible UX/UI that doesn't need training our technical skills to understand it and use it
4- Passion and Vision: we never gave up and we never will until we reach our vision
What is the key barrier today to your organization unlocking the maximum amount of impact on society?
