Project Stage: Select the description below that best applies to your approach.

  • Start-Up (first few activities have happened)

1. Personal Journey: What’s the story behind why you decided to start this project? NOTE: All applications must include a 1 minute video that answers: “I am stepping up to make change because..."

In the summer after college I had the occasion to think deeply about the theme of Happiness. I've been fortunate enough to be moderately wealthy thanks to hard work and meticulous management of every opportunity that came to me. Then I realised that inequalities and disadvantages are spread all over the world and that in many cases willingness is not enough. Internet is a powerful tool that can annul the inequalities of opportunities (as events can be recorded or streamed, support and communities are easy to create and scale), education (as online courses, forums on almost every topic amd Wikipedia are free) and jobs (as tools for digital creation have became affordable [video and photo editing, web & VR design, Electronics prototyping]). Also everyone can connect with anyone, to sell, ask for help or create friendship. That's the crowdsourcing part of the Internet we should leverage

2. The Problem: What problem are you helping to solve?

Poverty and climate change are the main challenge of society, education (university, behaviours, soft skills) and collective work (cooperation to solve pressing problems that are collected from the crowd) are powerful tools to overcome them! There's a lack of: practical work training; distributed help; employment to serve; global peer to peer collaboration with internet platforms; adequate reward to excellences; equality on motivation for social

3. Your Solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

It's needed to organise local communities in global groups to create solutions that fit difficulties, which are collected from everyone and well categorised in proper subjects and geographic zone. To build those products or services, more Massive Open Online Courses needs to be enhanced. Creating a peer to peer support group of trainers (anyone is partially more expert of someone else, so be useful) seems to be an effective skills growing technique in any field This could also provide payments to vulnerable people or poors that have become "gurus". There could be a circular reinvestment for sustainability: startups who succeed thanks this platform can invest in other worthy students, so they can create more and perpetuate a sustainable cycle. Education means also spread behaviours and empower marginalised people to motivate them. I'm trying to create an Ecosystem that provide problems to work on; networks of inventors and supporters that cooperate to create a solution combining skills from real projects experiences (that everybody do and did and share publicly) to solve them; Emotional Branding or Incubation from me to launched Social Enterprises. Marketing & finance are taught

4. Example: Please walk us through a specific example of what happens when a person or group gets involved with your project.

Everyone daily has to front difficulties, which don't have a precise and ready solution. It would be great to search for somebody else that faced something like that to see how they solved. Or you can try to build a solution yourself, or with the right team! So join a centralised elaboration that output a public general tips list, that can be adapted for distributed local environments. A new user enter the website and explore crowd collected problems, choose the one(s) he thinks he can contribute, create or join the team(s) that has started to solve it. If he realises he needs more skills, he enter the education support platform, where are available the Online Courses about the subjects he would learn, a great Q&A secrion and a crowdsourced support chat! A new sponsor entity can choose projects to support with funding, network, tips, implementation to increase their authority & impact!

5. The X Factor: What is different about your project compared to other programs or solutions already out there?

Leverage crowdsourcing to create open quality content (like Open Source philosophy) to study on and a global/local network support for any question, as there's always someone who can give free and instantly advices. It can be created a FAQ portal that contains: mayor questions at which everyone can contribute or supervision; best tricks or to particular challenges that are not so rare and hard to face, so you can adapt it to your case. Coordination between problems and solution providers has never used a platform that uses this combination of centralised wisdom and distributed hands&brains !

6. Impact: How has your project made a difference so far?

Exchanges of problems, experiences, skills and willingness permits to replicate the solution everywhere and reducing costs of implementation and research (as there's a mass distributed brainstorming). This benefits first disadvantaged or poor communities, solving education and some jobs gap, as is free to learn and to create a squad to work on a validated problem! Internet can make available software solutions or products requests from everywhere, decreasing inequality of access of different communities, so even the poorest could benefit. Cooperation makes possible to subdivide enormous tasks into small packets that each of us can carry! To confirm this: "The larger community must be enrolled, engaged, and activated"! successful partnerships we'll end poverty!

7. What’s Next: What are your ideas for taking your project to the next level?

Students (especially vulnerable people) can also learn skills that can make them ideal employees for many employers! The most fortunate can give back a part of the earnings to support other students' shelter, food. Partnerships between volunteers to give their expertise and aspiring-startuppers willingness is key to scale fast and create amazing solutions to everyday challenges :) Happiness is in the attitude of be involved to create improvement for ourselves and others, whichever the action is! Donations of knowledge, time (to test the outcomes or to spread the word of the created solutions) and own difficulties (that needs to be solved!) are extremely easy and win-win for everyone, so every "little" contribution can have a large impact!

8. Future Support: What are the resources needed to make your vision a reality?

We will work on: Crowdsourced cooperation with more engagement in students support and brainstorming for many solutions; Expand the lists of SpringWise™ and to integrate in a world list of "Ultimate solutions"; advertising for hosting the platform combined with social networks to scale; Problems are categorised by sectors or locality, so anyone can understand the most urgent or large needs around themselves or on the globe! Evert project or course can be diffuse through Internet, so everyone can access every great opportunity that is offline/local! This model limit is that's based on pure cooperation of citizens, so don't exclude uncontrolled risk of possible exploitation or competition disadvantages :(

9. Finances: If applicable, have you mobilized any of the following resources so far?

  • Donations between $1k-$5k

10. Ripple Effect: Please share some ideas of how you could partner with other changemakers or involve other young people as leaders in making a difference.

Internet and my platform can expand "Future Entrepreneurs"! :) An important problem that also H&H Homeless highlights is that people need food first than education! So the first thing would be guarantee a shelter(like 3D-printed and Mobile Solar Collecrors) and assistance in exchange of the certainty of commitment to work on escaping the extreme-poor condition. Ghezzi's Angel may be one way to solve this without falling on pure assistance model. Progredi like platform would be at the base to host practical crowdsourced online courses, the ones that are not cover yet (like learn practical jobs, that experts all around the world could teach in a common series of lectures in which everyone can add his best tips&tricks)! This could exponentially expand Openly lists and Everything they learn and practice would be motivational and empowering, as everyone can become a CHANGEMAKER! And a happy person, giving love with his concrete actions and commit for UN SDGs! I share the mission of the other contributions that inspire me to go further, despite all the challenges of global society! :) I would be glad to COOPERATE with them, together we could have a greater impact :D

How did you hear about this challenge?

Hi Giovanni!
I love your open-source idea! I am curious what is the specific user or demographic you're targeting at first?

I would primarly empower homeless and poor people, so they can learn and have a job that can contribute locally (or for the most worthy, even global!) and sustain them economically!
THis would affect primarly SDGs #1 and #4.
Unfortunately, learning period is not short, so it's needed an external help for them to start (a roof, food and Internet connection, a least!).
