Eligibility: Are you employed by T-Mobile or related to an employee of T-Mobile?

  • No

Date Started

Project Stage: Select the description below that best applies to your approach.

  • Idea (hoping to get started in the future)

1. Personal Journey: What’s the story behind why you decided to start this project? NOTE: All applications must include a 1 minute video that answers: “I am stepping up to make change because..."

I can’t make a video it’s impossible for me at this moment. However I am stepping up to make a change because I have great ideas and to help people and other people do to but are afraid to do anything. I am not afraid to step up and make a change in community’s and I want to help people in the best way that I can . Creating squad six is an amazing opportunity and I’d like the chance to show what it can do and change

2. The Problem: What problem are you helping to solve?

We are fighting inequality, discrimination, and addiction. All of these are important things that need to be handled. So many people around are country and other country’s are facing discrimination for who they are weather it be black , white , homosexual, transgender, Christian, atheist, disabled, or rich or poor or for just being themselves. Because of discrimination people can fall into addictions or from peer pressure and it’s a problem.

3. Your Solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

We plan to speak to the public in public locations or at our headquarters about how to deal with addiction and discrimination. We plan to hold public events for all ages. We will offer counseling and advice on how to deal with addiction and will speak about it at schools , churches and diffrent events. We will also talk about equality and discrimination to schools and at public events. We will offer safe spots for those who face discrimination, for being a different race or haveing a diffrent sexuality. Offer meetings and get togethers with activities for youth. Possibly after school programs. Have help hotlines and websites with advice. Walk In and get advice in any office we have. And get the help you need. Will be a nonprofit.

4. Example: Please walk us through a specific example of what happens when a person or group gets involved with your project.

Picture a teen who comes out as gay. He gets bullied everyday . And because of that he falls into depression. One day when he is walking to school he gets jumped and is threatened by a gang who claims he owes them. The idea gets put into his head that he has dues to pay and now he’s on the streets selling drugs and getting addicted to it himself. He realizes he’s falling through darkness and he needs help . He’s sees in the newspaper about this Organization called squad six he sees the work they do and what they’re known for. So he checks them out one day on the Internet. He calls their help line and gets advice To attend a meeting.Next day he walks into a place he’s never know and from that instant his life changes he attends a meeting 3 times a week the gang who put him into that position is Prosecuted. From then on he is a new person in his life goes as planned from the very instant.

5. The X Factor: What is different about your project compared to other programs or solutions already out there?

Other organizations have help lines and webpages because everything today Haveis based have have help lined on the internet . We will be out in the country doing things. When most people focus on the now we focus on the future we plan everything , we want you to have a future and to learn how to love yourself and want a future.

6. Impact: How has your project made a difference so far?

We plan to help people understand their worth. We want them to feel loved and to love themselves. We want everyone to feel beautiful and to be who they are without being bullied and discriminated against.

7. What’s Next: What are your ideas for taking your project to the next level?

By June 2019 we plan to have launched Squad six to America on a website and social media pages , we plan to have help lines set up . Possible YouTube channel. Also if we get picked and get some starting cash we would like to set dates in 2019 for a few events including our first support meetings and family days. Also a few environmental days like nature clean ups therefore people that are always left out can feel special while we help keep our environment clean. By jan 2020 we’d like to have a few fundraising events and merch with our logo to raise money to support our cause and to help fund activities. We will be nonprofit.

8. Future Support: What are the resources needed to make your vision a reality?

We are hoping to find a building or a few cheaply or donated by the community for headquarters and office space also for events and meetingsz we plan to have a YouTube. Channel that will help people see our mission and our work we will also have merch with our logo and some fundraising activities and events to support our main meetings and speakings. A lot will come out of our pockets as well. Once people see our plans we hope we will be supported by the public

9. Finances: If applicable, have you mobilized any of the following resources so far?

  • Friend support
  • Family support
  • Mentors/advisors

10. Ripple Effect: Please share some ideas of how you could partner with other changemakers or involve other young people as leaders in making a difference.

It would be amazing to partner with other groups that have the same mission one group I feel would be a great partner would be “we will recover” a addiction team that speaks at schools and public. We hope by reaching out to them and other groups once we are launched will help us if they would like to partner up for events and speakings

Hi! So I feel like this is a great idea but there needs to be a bit more of background data added into your entry. Although emotion that you added in is good, you need to also add in more data. For an example, for the after school programs, what are some things that will be offered? i.e. identifying when you or others are being targeted. But I do see the passion you have towards this however I feel like you will need to add in data and/or demographics information.
