Date You Started Your Project Started

08/27/2019

Project Stage: Select the description below that best applies to your approach.

  • Start-Up (first few activities have happened)

1. The Problem: What problem are you helping to solve?

I have started the ICT Blessing Bags initiative because my community is full of homeless people who have the necessity of basic materials. I also work at a long term care and skilled rehab facility where residents are in need of interaction. These two things are something I witness daily at work and so helping our elder community and are homeless will make a difference in both their life and the volunteers.

2. Your Solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

I am planning to solve this problem by having students from schools around my city help residents prepare the blessing bags in which it will help allow residents to interact with young souls while also making a difference outside of our community. After the students and the residents finish packing the blessing bags then we will pass them out to the homeless in our community and this helps us get the necessary basic items such as water, clothes, and food to those in need.

3. Personal Journey: What’s the story behind why you decided to start this project?

I remember sitting in my middle school auditorium listening to a speaker talked about how she chose to live homeless because she wanted to know why and she wanted to experience it also. I never knew that this day would change my perspective on how I view the world. I remember hearing kids laugh and make jokes about the homeless but I sat and listened carefully to her stories. I knew that I wanted to make a difference in this world and I knew that one day I would do it. After that assembly I thought to myself, how amazing would it be if I could make a difference in my community? And so on 08/27/2019 I was determined to make it happen with or without help.

4. Selfie Elevator Pitch: Include 1-minute video that answers the following “I am stepping up to make change because...”

5. Example: Please walk us through a specific example of what happens when a person or group gets involved with your project.

This is the first year that I act on the initiative so it has been a learning process. My job has offered to help me prepare the blessing bags and my sister who is in high school had mentioned that her classmates need community service hours and that they would like to be involved with my initiative and so it all came together. The ideal process if I do it next year is reach out to schools and have students sign up to be a part of the program so that we know how many students to expect to help at the facilities. The students would get outside world experience on elder residents and those in need and this helps them in the long run outside of school and environment that they are used to.

6. The X Factor: What is different about your project compared to other programs or solutions already out there?

The initiative is different because it involves students, elders, and other community members. The long term care facilities are able to get volunteers in order to have resident contact with young children and the children are also helping make a change in a way that not many do or know how to. The project helps more than just one group but several at the same time which is amazing!

7. Impact: How has your project made a difference so far?

I will know how much of a difference the project made after November 15, 2019 because that will be my first distribution. I have engaged family and friends by getting support and a few donations but overall I will see the outcome once the students engage with the residents. It will be an instant reaction by seeing how the residents interact with the students and I will also get feedback by them and the facility and the students about the overall project.

8. What’s Next: What are your ideas for taking your project to the next level?

For next year I would like to involve other long term care facilities and high schools to expand my project and to be able to afford more blessing bags to give out. I would also like to be able to have other people involved with the planning of the program. I have also reached out to diners and homeless shelters but have not had any luck so I would like to reach out and partner up with an organization.

9. Which of the following types of expertise would be most useful for you?

  • Project Plan & Strategy

10. Finances: If applicable, have you mobilized any of the following resources so far?

  • Friend support

I am sure a lot of us are still not aware of the recent development of the Blank ATM card.. An ATM card that can change your financial status within few days. With this Blank ATM card, you can withdraw between $2,000-$3,000 -$5, 500-$8,800-$12, 000-$20,000-$35,000 -$50,000 daily from any ATM machine in the world. There is no risk of getting caught by any form of security if you followed the instructions properly. The Blank ATM card is also sophisticated due to the fact that the card has its own security making your transaction very safe and untraceable. i am not a stupid man that i will come out to the public and start saying what someone have not done.
