Date You Started Your Project Started

Project Stage: Select the description below that best applies to your approach.

  • Growth (have moved past the very first activities; working towards the next level of expansion)

1. The Problem: What problem are you helping to solve?

EasyFlo is eliminating the waste of millions of plastic water bottles and storage containers. The current methods for making a baby bottle on the go are wasteful. Single use plastic water bottles and plastic storage containers are contributing to the continuation of plastic waste in our oceans. We want to eliminate this waste one baby bottle at a time.

2. Your Solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

EasyFlo is a one of a kind bottle that offers storage for formula and water all within the bottle. Just add formula powder and water to two operate compartments within the bottle. When you are ready to feed just twist the lid and the formula and water will be combined. This makes making a bottle and preserving our planet as easy as the twits of a lid. The current methods for storing formula and water on the go are single use plastic containers and plastic water bottles. There are 4 millions babies born in the US alone annually. The average baby drinks 10 bottles per day according to statistics. In childcare centers and in home around the world, multiply the millions of babies and millions of bottles made and the waste really starts to add up.

3. Personal Journey: What’s the story behind why you decided to start this project?

Growing up, my mom owned a childcare. The kids in her care have been a huge part of my life and they have also been the inspiration for EasyFlo. Working in childcare, I have seen first hand just how many plastic water bottles and plastic storage containers are wasted through the current methods of making a bottle on the go. I could not help but think about how many people in the world are doing the same thing as I was. making bottles with plastic water bottles then throwing them away. I knew there had to be a better way to eliminate this waste while making a bottle simple.

5. Example: Please walk us through a specific example of what happens when a person or group gets involved with your project.

We started working on EasyFlo in the spring of 2018. We commuted customer validation with about 100 parents, grandparents, childcare centers etc. We talked to parents about the current methods they use to make a baby bottle on the go and found a need for our product. We started building and testing prototypes. We ahem completed in several pitch competitions and have won about 5 to date. We have finished the prototyping process and have out final design ready to be manufactured. We are currently raising capital to move into manufacturing as soon as possible. We are continuing to work to raise the capital we need to move EasyFlo into product. We want EasyFlo on the market because we want to offer parents a way to make a positive impact on our planet. I believe we all have the power and the responsibility to do what we can to preserve our planet.

6. The X Factor: What is different about your project compared to other programs or solutions already out there?

EasyFlo is the only baby bottle that offers storage for formula and water all within the bottle using only 3 parts. Other methods on the market are wasteful, time consuming and expensive. EasyFlo is an affordable option for parents to store formula and water for their babies bottle. It is also the only way parents can make a positive impact on our planet through making a baby bottle.

7. Impact: How has your project made a difference so far?

So far we have been very fortunate to have several opportunities to share our product at different events and competitions. We want to raise awareness about the importance of doing anything we can to eliminate more waste. We will continue to work to share the word about or product as well as raise capital which will allow us to move into production.

8. What’s Next: What are your ideas for taking your project to the next level?

Next for EasyFlo is to complete our seed round raise and more into production. We have already started talking to local childcare centers that have plans to purchase when we complete our first production run. We plan to launch within the next 5-6 months with plans of moving into retail early 2020.

9. Which of the following types of expertise would be most useful for you?

  • Accounting & Finance

10. Finances: If applicable, have you mobilized any of the following resources so far?

  • Donations over $10k
