This idea had been in my head for a long time now and I only thought to put it out into the open about a week ago. The idea came to around August 17th or so and I only thought to put it out to the world on September 15th.

1. The Problem: What problem are you helping to solve?
The world is burning. Literally and metaphorically, the planet is going up in flames. As the leaders of the world make careless decisions and life itself is beginning to die, where do we look for hope?Of course, instead of doing anything useful, most people usually just complain on social media.The more adventurous among us might sign a change.org petition, and the most desperate might start a campaign and have it go nowhere.I intend to fix that.
2. Your Solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.
When it comes to disasters of any kind, most if not all take to social media to send their "thoughts and prayers". Few if any, actually take action and become proponents of change. In today's society, social media is the only way people feel that they are actually doing something to stop the problem , even if they are just ranting about it on their tumblr, or sending a Snap to their friends. I seek to use this sharing nature of social media combined with the ability to raise money using ads to fix this modern day problem. A person could share my app/website and it would redirect them to a short 30 second ad. The revenue collected by this ad would go towards those who are already out on the field. In the case of a major environmental disaster, say an oil spill, the money would go towards nonprofits in the area working to clean it up.
3. Personal Journey: What’s the story behind why you decided to start this project?
When the Parkland shooting occurred, it was all over social media. People were sending their "thoughts and prayers", but little was actually being done. The same happened with the Orlando nightclub shooting and the Las Vegas shooting. The Amazon burning down was the final straw. I thought to myself, "Why do they rant, but not act". It was only then that I understood that the men, women and LGBTQIAPP+ who flocked to Twitter and Reddit did so only because they felt that it was the only way they could do something. The final revelation was that nobody was intent on giving the Instagrammers the power to do good, rather than complain. So, I figured I might as well do empower them myself.

I'm stepping up to make change because I believe the world needs changing, and if I don't then who will?
5. Example: Please walk us through a specific example of what happens when a person or group gets involved with your project.
Let's say that a drought has occurred in India.Millions would be talking about the crisis and linking news articles to their friends. Without the app/website, people would simply talk about it. However, with the app/website, if somebody shared it, perhaps with the caption "If you click here, the money goes to saving water in India, please forward it.", It could become a valid way of getting money to those who need it most, or in the case of a wildfire in a Vietnamese rainforest, the money would go towards those trying to fight the fire and replant trees.
6. The X Factor: What is different about your project compared to other programs or solutions already out there?
There is currently nobody that google.com, bing.com or duckduckgo.com can find that has an idea even remotely close to mine.
7. Impact: How has your project made a difference so far?
For an idea that came into the world about two weeks ago, I think my friends and I have done a pretty good job fundraising. We've raised multiple small donations that add up to a total of $324.57. Seeing that I only told them about it on Monday of the 15th, we've done pretty good.
8. What’s Next: What are your ideas for taking your project to the next level?
We have a schedule and currently, we are right on track. Looking to the future, we plan on fundraising to about $3,000 so that we can then hire a programmer to design the website/app for us. Next would be a second wave of fundraising that would get us money for fees such as hosting and marketing.
