Date You Started Your Project Started

I’ve been wanting to get my idea up and running since 2016

Project Stage: Select the description below that best applies to your approach.

  • Idea (hoping to get started in the future)

1. The Problem: What problem are you helping to solve?

Homeless overpopulation The growing rate of people in need are gravely . There are so many people who need help .. people who are begging on the street because they fell or dug themselves into a home they cannot escape . There are things and people who can help but are they really helping ? For example regular shelters house people but don’t help prepare them for outside life. That is my main goal to help build their lives and give them hope .

2. Your Solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

Well for the homeless shelter it is going to be non-profit and have about Four floors. It is going to have a rehabilitation center on level one .a section for the elder who may be sick and need special care ... it’ll also have a daycare /school. And over 400 rooms some will be single rooms other will be apartment style. The shelter will help people overcome addiction and help them get good jobs. I’ll do this by finding great businesses to partner with so they can get quickly trained and hired. Once they get over the rehab part of they need it then they’ll move on to the job part . When they start making a steady salary income they will be able to either leave and get their own apartment or homes which I’ll help with I plan on partnering with some real estate companies so they get lower rates , or they can choose to rent from the shelter and get an apartment style room especially if they have families, then they will be able to have their kids at the daycare in the shelter or they can go to the k-12 school that’s the closest my shelter will provide bus transportation to and from school for the kids and have drivers who can bring the people to work, ... see attachments

3. Personal Journey: What’s the story behind why you decided to start this project?

I’ve always wanted to help people especially when I am able . I guess it all started when I turned 11 it was my birthday and I received about 80 dollars . Me and my mom took a trip to Walmart because I was so excited to have money to spend on candy and clothes of course , I grabbed a few things they code about 40 dollars . While we were leaving we caught a light and it looked to my right and there was a woman she had two children with her they looked about 5 and 8 . She was crying she had a sign it read “ I lost my job and my home we are hungry please help “ I was 11 I had seen other homeless people before but this woman was different I felt compelled to help her I asked my mom to roll down the window and I gave her my other 40 dollars she cried and said God bless you . I watched her and the children walk across the street to Whataburger. I made mom cry , it was the best day ever.

5. Example: Please walk us through a specific example of what happens when a person or group gets involved with your project.

I need people who are driven like myself. I need people who care about others I need people who can help fund the project . People who know how to console and love others . I need teachers , and medical professionals. Builders who see my vision . When we all get together the Shelter will be perfect and we will impact so many lives and boost the economy while doing it .

6. The X Factor: What is different about your project compared to other programs or solutions already out there?

We are a full Service rehabilitation homeless shelter. We are non profit . Our main goal is to help build better people and dreams .

7. Impact: How has your project made a difference so far?

Well I’m still in the idea stage , but I know that we will be helping hundreds of people in Houston , my plan is to clear the homeless rate to 0 . I will do this and attempt to expand to other heavily populated homeless areas in Texas .

8. What’s Next: What are your ideas for taking your project to the next level?

I need to start talking to non profit owners and see how exactly they keep the business running. I want to start a Campaign to see how many people are for my idea and who can help . I want to try to get in contact with Beyonce because I feel like she would love to help fund the project or even help promote. If not her then of course some business owners. I need to look into partnerships with apartment complex's and schools . Possibly visit a few hospitals to find some partner doctors who can volunteer.
