Project Stage: Select the description below that best applies to your approach.

  • Established (successfully passed early phases, have a plan for the future)

1. The Problem: What problem are you helping to solve?

Im hopping to prepare all schools in the event of a natural disaster or a medical emergency i believe it is most urgent we assist local school operations that cannot fund these kinds of project and to better assist them so they can prepare for the worst. I believe that it is necessary to have these medical kits in each school as I personally raised 5000 dollars to get the project started and made it on television it know effect all kids in area.

2. Your Solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

I believe it is a common thing all school corporations have and its funding to fund these projects. My small town we had to raise money for this project but thank you to good business and good citizens we were able to fund the project. I believe is so crucial to make sure our children are safe for the future so they dont need to worry if something was to occur and they could have medical needs in the event of a emergency man made or natural disaster. One said we have to prepared to these measures if we are not prepared then we are not ready to be safe in the event of emergency lives can be saved. Researchers said if medical kits were in schools in the columbine shootings more lives could of been saved. We need to meet these gaps and say yes to safer schools many of these kits could also teach the kids life saving techniques to better assist in the event of emergency it takes a life to save a life. I believe with T-Mobile help and Mr. John Leger we could accommodate these things and meet the needs of our local area and put warmth with the parents and guardians of our local schools buy saying #tmobile is there to help our schools and that is what i want to help kids & our schools.

3. Personal Journey: What’s the story behind why you decided to start this project?

The Reason why i started Project Valley Safe Project Home bound Safety" is because of the Columbine Shooting that occurred a decade ago. My Pastor Granddaughter Rachel Scott said Just because she believed in Jesus she was shot. I believe it is most defenitley important to put these kits in the schools as we can save lives and better assist our schools. When i complete project valley safe in my own school and raise all funds and equipment parents alike were so thankful for this idea i recieved letter thanking me and local new anchor come interview me about my idea to help the community and bring good and to prepare for the worst. Some schools dont even have the funds to prepare for these events some local law enforcement and emergency professionals are minutes away and that a life every few minutes dying because of bleeding out because someone doesnt know a tourniquet of proper-technique

5. Example: Please walk us through a specific example of what happens when a person or group gets involved with your project.

It can better assist the community it can provide a better well being of saftey it can also provide them learning experience for medical emergencys and also can teach them how they can save lives and what to do in situations like this. I believe it is crucial they learn these things it gives them on hands experience and also the ability for them to use the things outside school life like saving a stranger who is bleeding that is why we need these in our schools there lives matters the teachers lives matter and the students lives matter that is what i help create the project valley safe in my home town school Tippecanoe Valley High School in Akron Indiana.

6. The X Factor: What is different about your project compared to other programs or solutions already out there?

It community based and community built everyone in the community get to work together to better prepare for situations like this we are stronger together we are not stronger divided. It builts relations between the community and people of the area.

7. Impact: How has your project made a difference so far?

It has improved overall well being of Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation it has made them feel more safe and better prepared if anything was to occur. Many elmentary schools not what the bag is for and we need these bags in every school one at a time. I have heard good things from superintendant and other public officals and also the sheriff himself reaching out to me about this idea and wndu news.

8. What’s Next: What are your ideas for taking your project to the next level?

buy working with tmobile i can better assist my local community and build this idea to be a nation wide idea and to better assist my local community by making it safer and secure the proper needs to ensure safe in the event of natural disaster or a medical emergency.
