Project Stage: Select the description below that best applies to your approach.

  • Idea (hoping to get started in the future)

1. Personal Journey: What’s the story behind why you decided to start this project? NOTE: All applications must include a 1 minute video that answers: “I am stepping up to make change because..."

2. The Problem: What problem are you helping to solve?

Thousands of people everywhere feel that after suffering from a incident that disables them, they feel they can no longer do, and I want to show them and help that no matter what comes in front of them they can always over come any obstacle in their way even athletic wise. I want to show they can complete the toughest challenge's.

3. Your Solution: How are you planning to solve this problem? Share your specific approach.

Wether it being physical or mental. I want to approach everyone of any age and help them get back on their feet, speaking to those who have held so much in and feel they have no one to talk to or have a hard time opening up. I also want to help others rebuild their life with physical challenge's they can overcome such as working out, running or playing a sport they loved.

4. Example: Please walk us through a specific example of what happens when a person or group gets involved with your project.

I attended a Spartan Race in February 14, 2016/17/18 and I seen people who had doubts in their self and wanted to give up. This was the first time I discovered what I really wanted to do. I helped mentally and physically push disabled people through a 5 or 15 mile Sprint filled with obstacle courses. I gave them the ability to believe in one another, overcome their fears and mental and physical attributes, that everything they couldn't do. They could all the way to the finish line, climbing walls, low crawls, monkey bars and bag carry everything.

5. The X Factor: What is different about your project compared to other programs or solutions already out there?

To be honest Wether it's different or the same I'm confident and believe that the difference is every method I have used works. I put maximum effort in what I do, I don't just talk to them I work with them, motivate them all, help as best I can and actually try to understand. Others hear but do they actually listen and put effort into understanding the problem and help make a better solution. I don't sell a pitch I show 1 on 1 hands on.

6. Impact: How has your project made a difference so far?

Usually after sporting events with disabled people they usually walk up and tell me thanks or their families and ask to take pictures. A lot have told me I should try to start a community project or develope a way to work with people not just in events but local or national. Take it on the road, everyone always leaves with a smile in hopes to see me again. I have taken pictures with disabled vets and local police departments including the events I attend.

7. What’s Next: What are your ideas for taking your project to the next level?

I want to work with others to help build my project and take it national. Help people build their confidence back up, remove low self-esteem. Show the world that if disabled community can overcome anything what's your excuse get everyone involved that if are disabled or not together we all can overcome our biggest challenges

8. Future Support: What are the resources needed to make your vision a reality?

I need sponsor ships, actual website and proper fundings to help make this a reality. I need team members willing to put in the maximum effort to work with me and the community I'm trying to support.

9. Finances: If applicable, have you mobilized any of the following resources so far?

  • Friend support
  • Mentors/advisors

10. Ripple Effect: Please share some ideas of how you could partner with other changemakers or involve other young people as leaders in making a difference.

Others become better leaders after working with me and tend to move on to becoming confident in the positive choices they have made and find ways to better help with what ever they want to do in their community.

Help Us Support Diversity! Part 1 [optional] Which of the following categories do you identify with?

  • Black or African American (for example: African American, Jamaican, Haitian, Nigerian, Ethiopian, Somalian, etc) (8)

Help Us Support Diversity! Part 2 [optional] Do you identify as part of any of the following underrepresented communities?

  • No, I do not identify with an underrepresented community

How did you hear about this challenge?

  • Social media

Referral: If you discovered the Challenge thanks to an organization or person other than Ashoka or T-Mobile, who was it?

I like the potential of a project that aids people in need. I feel that your project would become a top notch idea if a more clear plan for how to aid these people was laid out. Keep doing what your doing.

I figured while working on this the solution would come to mind, I gave been fully overwhelmed with thinking this far and doing this all for real that I haven't really came up with how to actually aid these people and I really want to do so. I don't want to be a organization Making promises that never get kept. All I have have is an Idea, Will and mind set to try my hardest to get this accomplished. I need to get the necessary help to actually benefit in aiding each warrior who joins our organization. I believe starting with a clinical rehabilitation facility will help. Also start a athlete team to help raise money to help out with our warriors and keep the organization going.
