Thank you! We had been struggling with attendance at "parent workshops" and revamped them into Family Fitness Events. This helped attracted a much bigger parent population. Once they attend a big school-wide event, they typically like coming to the parent workshops. We also assign "homework" like "Shopping with your parents", or a "physical activity", to use children as the health messengers. Yes, we try to hire instructors from the communities we teach.

We teach in about 10 schools. We teach the same kids each week, so for example, we'll teach all 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders in one school for an entire year. They get one, 50 minute FAN4Kids class each week, plus FAN4Kids supervised recess. Our coaches are college graduates who have some type of background in fitness, nutrition and/or teaching.
