Burren Prog Burrenbeo Farming for Nature
I'm from a farming background and love exploring the natural and cultural heritage of our countryside. I believe farmers are a great resource, not just as food producers but as countryside custodians. I spent my 20s travelling and became fascinated with the relationship between people and places, and went on to do a PhD on this issue in a place called the Burren. There I began to see heritage from a farmers perspective and appreciate how poorly we have been at encouraging sustainable farming. For the past 20 years I have been trying to restore this broken connection between farming and nature.
