After being a successful entrepreneur for 10 years, I decided I wanted to get an education that would allow my entrepreneurial skills to have a greater impact on the world. This lead me to a Master's of Sustainability program at Harvard. In my capstone class of my Sustainability degree, I created a sustainability action plan for Chilean social enterprise called Algramo. I won 2017's Dean Prize for Outstanding Sustainability Capstone for the work I did with Algramo. See the link below for details. https://www.extension.harvard.edu/inside-extension/building-sustainable-supply-chain-food-startup
@Old Friend Thank you very much for the kind words. Algramo is open to collaborating if we have a values aligned partner who can help us increase our impact or benefit more people. We are open to collaborating with a FMCG brand if we see creating shared value in a similar http://manner.do you have any other suggestions on a potential partner that might be a symbiotic partner for Algramo. Thank you in advance for your advice and best of luck with the CSV contest.
Hi Michelle, Thank you so much for your kind words and support of Algramo. You are also doing some very impactful work in Guatemala...Algramo hopes to eventually expand into new Latin American markets, so who knows, maybe one day Algramo will be in Guatemala...if so we will be sure to look you up. All the best to you and your project. Cheers, Brian
Thanks a lot for your interest in the work Algramo is doing. I find your work also very interesting.
We are in the process of likely expanding the amount of beans that we source locally. For us a challenge is that we need to source a product that can meet the volume demands of our network of stores (now just over 1,300). In addition to large volume it is very important that we can get the same or more quantity in the future and that the quality of the bean remains constant.
I am really busy right now as I am traveling to South Africa to keynote an event, but I think it might be useful to learn about your lessons learned in your sourcing. Thanks a lot for the offer to have a Skype call, perhaps in the new year when we work more directly on sourcing local food, I will get in contact with you to see if we can arrange a http://Skype...my email is brian@algramo
Best of luck with your work and this proposal! Cheers, Brian
