I trained as an engineer, and after a stint in industry, started teaching at a college in my small and hometown of Siliguri. But I was always deeply disturbed by the level of conflict between people and wildlife here. So my friends and I began tinkering with developing technological solutions. We also founded a non-profit to improve conservation education, and support the government in awareness generation. During this process, we realized that conservation can benefit by using the huge talent of local people, rather than 'teaching' them. And that is our plan now.
