I've had the opportunity to overcome many obstacles in my life, including domestic violence, poverty, and the struggle for entrepreneurship as a black woman in the tech industry. In 2006, I was named businesswoman of the year. By 2007, I was forced to apply for food stamps. As luck would have it, my fall from heaven was featured in the Huffington Post! The skills that I developed during the housing crisis, I now use to create publicity and social media campaigns for nonprofits, businesses, and universities.
