I knew for a very long time that I would one day build up my own social impact business. After my studies and work experience spanning from care work to corporate banking, I felt ready in 2013 to head to Mozambique to start my venture. Years before, I had seen a situation in the rural north of the country that had deeply impressed me: people possessed a wealth of tropical fruit, especially mangoes, but they were just rotting on the ground, and people were desperately poor. My ambition was to help them earn a living from their fruit. Global Farmers Market was born.
