Jose-Pablo Fernandez was raised in Mexico City within a family that viewed education as the key to success. In 1997, Jose-Pablo moved to Texas with his wife and three grown-up children. In 2002 he became the director of the Mexican Cultural Institute in Houston, which he transformed into the Mexican Institute of Greater Houston where he experienced the huge need for education in the Hispanic community. In 2007 he founded Parents Alliance -- which empowers low-income, first Hispanic generation Latino parents in advocating for their children’s education to reach their full potential in life.
