Hi Sarang, I have been working in the food rescue space for a little while now, and there is a need for your project! I think your project as lots of potential the idea behind it is great, and I can tell your committed by the app you've already developed. In working with supermarkets our team has found that many businesses want something that can integrate into their current system and infrastructure. Whether that is a POS system or inventory management. Have you looked at working with these companies to make something that would be compatible rather than something new? Secondly, I would address the pain points that are causing the waste. In your entry some of things that didn't work to solve the issue, but what is the root cause? For many supermarkets specifically on the food donation end, it's legal liability of donation (even though their protected). I think that if you found the core reason and address it in your app as well, that it would help you scale very quickly. Finally, you touched on food waste in the household and you are right, it's a giant problem. There are some apps out there that do something similar to yours (nowaste for example), that's not to discourage you, but I would look at what they do really well and build upon it. Like I said earlier, I've been working with markets in the food rescue space for sometime, so let me know if you would like to talk, I'd be happy to share some insight (lgrimm@jeefoods.org). Good luck!

I agree with Aarushi and Hector, the project is unique and educates the audience on an issue rarely talked about. For example, in school I was taught about sweat shops, but never about the fires and building collapses. If I would have known that, my choices as a consumer would have been different. As you develop your app, are you planning on posting your articles to online media sources such as Apple News or Google News? I think it may be a great way to find readers beyond the word of mouth marketing.
